My mother was a resident of this facility for the past 3 years. The staff treated her very well and took very good care of my mother. She enjoyed being there. She didn't particulary like the food but I saw what they were feeding her and it was fine. They were always so kind to fix her something she did want so she'd eat or give her the food I dropped off for her. The staff always contacted me if there was any issue with my mom and were always very helpful. The facility may not be the most up-to-date but it was a decent place that was decently priced and I have no regrets with my mom's stay there. She was happy and safe.

We took my mom to see St. Francis Assisted Care and she just loved it. She can't wait to go. The staff was really friendly, and everyone seemed to know each other. It was a small community, so I think that would work best for my mom. The apartment had a bathroom, a closet, and a place to put her TV. It's like moving into an unfurnished apartment. The staff who assisted us with the tour was really good. She was very friendly and very personable. There was some concern from my siblings that they have a staircase going from the second floor to the first floor, and it's unguarded. There was no door or anything. You just walk down the stairs. It would have been better to have that more secured so that people from the upstairs don't try to go down the stairs and then not make it. Their physical facilities may not be the best compared to the other places we toured.

My father-in-law was at St. Francis Assisted Care. I visited there within the last year. We went up until the pandemic; then stopped it. He passed in November of last year. Sometimes the care was just fine and sometimes we felt like there weren't enough people on staff to care for everybody. That's how it is in so many of them. It had a nice yard, and it's all gated. His room just had his bed and whatever we put in there. The cleaning wasn't as good as it should have been (as far as somebody coming in and taking care of the cleaning of the floors and the bathroom). If you don't have enough people on staff and you have a lot of patients, you're not gonna have that.

It’s a shame that this place is still in business. As an RN it’s heartbreaking to see my friend and her mother in such conditions. They are paying to be here and yet it looks as if they are begging. Begging for decent food, proper care. The staff appear kind but they are sloppy in dealing with my friend and her mother. One CNA literally asked her if she could wait for someone else to finish cleaning her up (bowel movement) because it was the end of her shift and she wanted to leave. What a mess! On top of that, they advertise a beauty salon as an amenity. Well I saw that salon and it was filthy. It was dusty, messy, items broken and falling apart, and no proper ventilation or AC. There WAS no AC. No real clean space for me to care for my friend. I had to ask the worker to give me a cloth so I can clean. Ridiculous. I’m appalled and I want this place shut down. Furthermore, the food is terrible. How is it that you serve dried lettuce and sloppy foods to these people?? Then have the audacity to call it nachos? Please don’t send your loved ones here.

Dad has moved into St. Francis Assisted Care. Thanks to COVID I have seen the outside, but I barely saw the inside. However, the people I interacted with have been very nice. They have an excellent marketing director. She is a very pleasant woman. The folks that are working there, the CNAs, they are all very nice, even when I know that they don't know that I'm right there. My dad's room is clean. They have been re-doing it. You can tell it is an older building, but some of that is also reflected in the price. They also have some very nice grounds. There is the opportunity for folks to get out. It is fenced on the outside, so if people wander they won't go too far. It also gives a nice view even if you're just looking out from the window.

St. Francis Assisted Care was nice. They have done some upgrades to it and the landscaping. The rooms were all nice, clean, and painted and there were bathrooms inside the rooms. I really liked it. They had a lot of activities. All of the residents were pretty much participative. It looked like a social club where they play games and everybody is involved. They looked comfortable and seemed like they were well taken care of. The room size is perfect. They had patio doors where they can go sit at little patio tables and chairs and put out their own potted plants if they want to. It didn't seem like they were closed in. When they went out to the patio, there were lots of flowers.

My wife moved to St. Francis Assisted Care at the end of March of this year. It's like an apartment complex. They're very helpful. It is clean. They don't have a lot of activities; they spend a lot of time taking care of their residents. The staff is very friendly. They're there to do their job, and they don't mess around, which is good. My wife is a special situation where she seems to be asking for a lot of things, and they're very patient about helping her, getting her what she needs, and taking care of her requirements. They're very attentive, very nice, very good, and very professional. She has a shared room, and there is plenty of space for two persons to occupy the space. They do have other options where you wouldn't have to share a room, but it's cheaper if you will share a room, and it also helps to give them some company, so that they're not always alone. The dining facility is sufficient for the number of people they've got. It's clean, and even right after mealtime, I'm really surprised that it's not a mess. They do have meals on a regular basis that were very substantial. They're pretty conscious about any dietary requirements for any given person. They make sure they give the appropriate meal for the condition of their diet. Their food varies, and it was very good and very well balanced.
