This is a very nice facility and everyone we have encountered, or worked with, from sales to the nursing staff has been extremely helpful. They have been concerned for my Mom's health and happiness, as well as being empathetic to what we are going through, as we transition Mom from a large home and her once independent life to Assited Living. My only "complaint" is that the studio Apts in Sequoia are a bit small. I understand the reasoning for it being a studio apt in the memory care building, but some extra square footage would be nice. That being said, our Mom got used to it rather quickly, especially once we brought some of her own furniture from home. Now, it seems cozy! We are very happy with Covenant Living and have peace of mind that our 90 year old Mom, with some dementia, is safe and happy...and even making new friends! By the way, the food is amazing and we enjoy meals with her in the dining room too!

Covenant Living is a little self-contained community within the community of Turlock. My Mom went from the Independent Living section to Assisted Living section. Downsizing is hard, but the entire staff made it very easy for us. We visit all the time, so know that the facilities are clean, staff is patient centric, and food is "mostly" tasty. A lot of in-house activities are available as well as off-site scheduled activities. I highly recommend it to any that are looking for a retirement community.

My mother is at Sequoia Assisted Living. The room is comfortable and kept clean by the conscientious staff. We were able to decorate the room with mom's own furniture to help give it an "at home" feel. The nurses and all staff have been wonderful with our mother. They take care of all her physical needs and are always positive and encouraging to her. I appreciate that they call me immediately if there is ever a question or something that I need to know about my mother. The dining room is nice for the residents...with linen tablecloths, a menu that residents can self select their food and the food looks and smells delicious. There are a variety of daily activities and I hope that our mother will participate more in them as she becomes more comfortable. I would highly recommend Sequoia for the love and care that they give to each and every resident!

Covenant is far and away the best deal for a continuing care community. All levels of care are available. The acute care hospital is across the street. My mother in law lived there fir over ten years, and hard working and loving staff helped stay in the independent living side almost to the very end of her life. Physical therapy, nursing care, food services, cleaning, maintenance, all were done with kindness and compassion. Highly recommended.

We are at Covenant Village of Turlock and we're quite satisfied and very happy here. We've been here for a few years now. It's the best that we've heard of. We have exercises with equipment, swimming pool, gymnasium, hot tub, and we have a good chaplain and a chapel. We're in a three-bedroom place. We use it as our bedroom, guest bedroom, and office. We pay $5,000 with all of those things we have. We can be taken to a doctor's appointment and we have a nurse on campus. Everything is close by here in Turlock and hospital is across. The staff is excellent. The food is pretty good and a housekeeper comes in once a week. She'll do anything we ask her to do including laundry. We have a washer and dryer, complete kitchen, refrigerator, and freezer. On campus, we have assisted living and we have a care center. There's nothing that I would say is missing.

Covenant Village was very nice, but they charge $60,000 buy-in when you move in. The facility itself was very good. The apartments were very nice. I've eaten there, and the food was very nice. Their activities were nice, and they had a good staff. I went to a fashion show there, and I took an auto class for seniors and a class on downsizing. The grounds were nice, but it's very big. I know somebody who moved there, and they had to buy a scooter. It's very clean and very well maintained, and they had very nice people.

Covenant Village is expensive but it’s worth it. It’s beautiful and multi-faceted. It’s across from the hospital. They have assisted living with a dining room. They nurses come in and help you and so you can still remain living on your own but you have a lot more help. It’s really nice and clean. They have a lot of friendly staff and everybody was friendly too.

My mother used to live at Covenant Village. It's beautiful and it's been there for many years. They just added on some new buildings. It used to be a buy-in and recently they have changed it to where you can rent or buy. They have a chef that used to be a White House chef. It's really a wonderful place. Mom moved into a 2-bedroom apartment and she lived there for about 12 years, and then she started getting sick and she moved over to the assisted living section. They have residential, assisted living, and all care like a hospital. They had great nurses that works in the assisted living part that looks after people. They had a dining room and a larger dining room in the residential section, and their own little church. They had beautiful apartments. In the assisted living, they gave the meds and took them to the appointments and brought them back. They also had trips and buses that go to different places and crafts where they paint or sew. They had everything that I would want.

It was very nice, and it was religious based. The only bad thing about Turlock was the weather. They can get extremely hot in the summertime. If that community were located in a different geographic area where the weather was moderate, I would probably give it a 5.

Covenant village is very nice, their entry fee is less, and monthly fees are comparable to the other places I've visited. They have a continuing care program that takes care of people until end of life. They have an activities calendar that includes hobby, arts and seminars from the local university, computer club library, fitness center and things that would be attractive to your way of life. We are highly interested in this place.
