My father moved into South Bay Senior Living. My dad doesn't engage too much in the activities. I can't give him his medicine on time, so that's why he's over there. He eats the food there, and he's okay with it. The staff was very nice, attentive, and accommodating. My dad has his own room with a really big space, and it has been kept very clean.

South Bay Senior Living had very capable, experienced personnel. Maggie was the one who gave the tour and she was very understanding and had a lot of experience with the care of seniors. She speaks Spanish and that helps a lot with the language barrier there. We looked at the food and menu that were in the cafeteria and it's acceptable. It's an older facility but it was well kept. The layout was good. We liked that it's a small facility. The nurse-to-patient ratio was good for us and it's only a single floor.

South Bay Senior Living is nice. I like it. For those who can afford it, they should go there. They don't accept insurance, so that's the thing. I'm on Medicare and I apply for Medi-Cal, but they don't accept them because it's private pay. The dining room is very clean. I used their bathroom for their employees, and it's so clean, too. Everything was clean. I like the bedroom. There were single beds, and the bedrooms were big. All rooms were like that. You can put a microwave, a TV, a computer, and a small refrigerator in your room. It's nice. They have closets, too. Their workers are very nice and friendly. The manager also is so friendly. Their dining room is colorful, and they have decorations. It's so conducive. You can eat there.

South Bay Senior Living was very nice, it looks bright and clean. I had a full tour with the lady there, she showed me sample rooms or model rooms, and they were very nice. The real rooms were a little bit different, but I was able to see some of those as well. The model had nice and up-to-date furniture, but certain rooms had older furniture. Some of the potential rooms I saw had a bathtub, so you need somebody to help you if you're going to use a bathtub. That was a little concerning to me, I prefer showers because of the ability to lift your leg over the shower because, in a bathtub, that would be difficult. The people or the residents seemed nice, when I came in there were a lot of them in the sitting areas and it seemed secure enough. The dining area was also very nice, they showed me the beauty shop and the outside looks nice.

My dad is going to South Bay Senior Living. It was a really big place, and we're really impressed with the people. The residents seem happy. It is also located and related to the skilled nursing facility that my dad had to go to first, so that played a good part too. The people that work there were really nice and patient. Everything is clean. The staff was very professional, kind, and patient. They really work with us. The outside is not that impressive, but it gets better when you go in. It is clean and well-kept.
