My aunt has been living alone since 1999 until she fell in 2019 and could no longer care for herself in her home without assistance. I managed to squeeze out 4 years in her home with lots of help, but it came time to get her into assisted living. I reached out to caring.com and got two referrals and both were great. I chose to go with Pepper Tree Assisted Living because it is a small home and it feels very comfortable and not institutional; my aunt was alone for so many years, she would have been overwhelmed with a larger facility. I love the care and attention my aunt gets from all the caregivers. She’s not always very nice, but the caregivers, administrator, and owner are always kind. Furthermore, the caregivers, administrator, and owner are looking out for me, too. They understand the hardship to me and always make me feel better especially when I’m stressed. When I visit in the morning, they are usually doing chair yoga. If the weather is nice, they will exercise outside on a beautifully paved driveway. If the weather is not so nice, they will exercise inside to a video. The caregivers are usually preparing a meal when I visit and I usually get offered a portion to eat with the residents . . . a nice gesture indeed and it always smells great. My aunt loves and eats all the food. I feel that both my aunt and I are taken care of by Pepper Tree and I would recommend Pepper Tree Assisted Living to anyone, but especially a potential resident that would prefer a low-key, uncrowded care facility.

After my elderly dad had a fall at home and a short hospital stay, it was obvious that he needed 24 hour care. Luckily, I had done some research ahead of time and had found Coral Tree Assisted Living--a board and care home that had all the qualities I was looking for. The caregivers were attentive, patient and kind. The other residents were friendly and supportive of each other. The inside and outside space was filled with light and well-maintained. The owner was very knowledgeable and supportive and helped our family through this transition process. I’m thankful that we found this residence for my dad.

I took a tour of the Facility and the rooms are clean and spacious, the staff is very warm and socially engaging with residents. They have home cooked prepared meals for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and all residents are attended to and interact with each other during fun activities like chair yoga and dance . The staff here have created a joyful welcoming environment to provide care to their clients.

Mom is doing well at Pepper Tree Assisted Living. It's a small house. It has five people in there now including my mom. What they do is they will sit there and do physical therapy with them inside their room or outside. They will sit there and do yoga with them and sometimes take them for walks around the block. The food is excellent. When I was there, the lady offered me some of the stuff that she feeds the residents with and it's top-notch. The facility is very nice. It's a single-family home that's been converted and it's extremely nice. My mom has her own bedroom and her own bathroom (an en suite). The staff is small but very attentive.

My aunt was here for 3 years and we were so grateful for the care she received here. Her room was beautiful with a sliding door to the back deck. Her bathroom and bedroom were spotless. They did all the laundry, helped her bathe, prepared meals, and took excellent care of my aunt for many years. The activities include extended PT, love guitar and violin music, letter writing, chair yoga, outdoor patio time and gardening.
