I liked that there were a lot of people out and about as soon as we walked into Ridgeview Health Center. They had doors that when you walk through it, you turn around. They look like bookcases. So, the residents didn't think they could walk out. They had a lot of artwork out, which tells me that they were very active with their residents and would hang on to their pieces of whatever they were making. I saw somebody in the kitchen making food. I didn't see any of the residents in the kitchen, but it looked like they were making bread and they had popcorn going. There was an activity going on outside where they were potting plants. They were very talkative to my sister and I and we had very minimal questions. We just wanted to see what they were doing, how it looked, and how busy they were because I want my mom to be in some activities where she doesn't have to, but just having the availability. I saw that they had a very structured mealtime and activities. They have spa time. They would have certain residents go in at certain times to have a shower or bath or whatever they needed. We visited two rooms throughout the facility, and they were nice sizes. Some had two people in and it was fine. It was a big enough room and some had one. I liked that they had a schedule on the inside of the door for those with incontinence issues. It was very clean and I thought it would be a good fit for my mom. It might be a little too far from where we're looking, but it was nice. The staff was very communicative, but they were also very busy.
