"Lassen House Senior Living was a nice home. It's very beautiful, but it's big -- there are a lot of people there, and we just wanted more of a homely one. They have memory care there, so they do Alzheimer's, but it's basically the same services: toileting, helping him bathe, housekeeping, and food prep. The rooms were very nice. The staff was nice, very pleasant, and seemed to be friendly to the clients. It was very clean. It's on a busy street, so I didn't like that because my dad has dementia, but other than that, it was nice and right across from Walmart."

"Serenity Gardens was an older facility and a family was running it. Sons, mother-in-laws, and father-in-laws were cooking. There were two generations of people running it. They seemed to be very caring people. The residents were mostly in the recreation room and I saw their outside garden areas. It's a huge building. They had very nice people and they were all very busy doing their thing. The grandparents of the people running the place were in the kitchen preparing meals and getting ready for lunch. I had to stand outside and wait for them to let me in because they were busy, and there's no way you can come in and out of that place without somebody watching you. What I saw downstairs was very nicely maintained. It's probably a 70-year-old structure and it was still very clean. I walked through a television room and there were some people playing cards and checkers. They all seemed very nice."

"I had a really good first impression of the personnel that we're working with at Oakdale Heights Assisted Living. I felt quite confident that they would be able to take care of my brother well. The premises felt homey and it didn't feel like a hospital and it wasn't overwhelmingly big. They kind of addressed all my concerns right away. My brother now lives in a studio there. It is fairly spacious. Even if it's the smallest space that they have available, it's got everything he needs. It has a kitchenette with lots of storage space, a little living room area, and a place that's designated for his bed and a bathroom. He needs a lot of grab bars and they have a lot of that stuff in the room as well. The dining area was really good. It's not big, so he doesn't get lost in there. He says the food is fine and he's got special dietary needs. He eats gluten-free, so they make sure that he's accommodated for that. They have a fitness program, games like bingo and such, craft activities, musicians that come in and play music for the residents, and outings periodically. It's a nice place and it's kept up very well."

"We toured Sierra Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care. That was fine, but it was a little smaller. The rooms were smaller than I wanted. It was very easy to find though, and it was a very easy access. It's right adjacent to a highway, so it's easy to get into town. It was nice and clean. The staff was very, very nice, very informative, and extremely courteous. We also checked the dining area and looked at the menu. It was a very nice menu. I wish I could make a menu like that. I didn't sample any of the food because I was there at 10:00 in the morning. I didn't notice any activity in particular, but she showed me the schedule. They have bingo, various activities, and a putting green."

"My mother has been in Lavender Hills Assisted Living LLC Building for several months now. It's a wonderful place. I would recommend it highly to anyone. Now that Covid has been lifted, they're back to doing their activities. I haven't tried the food, but it is very good."

"When i visited the Springs Hills Assisted Living center i found the staff to be very helpful and courteous. The facility was very clean and the rooms were large and put together nicely. I found the facility to be a great place for the residents and they all seemed happy and healthy. I would recommend the facility for friends and loved ones in the future without any difficulty. The food at the dinner I was there for was healthy and prepared with care. The activities the facility provided were great for my friend who was a resident. She always had nice things to say about how the staff were great and very helpful. My friend and I walked the grounds of the facility and enjoyed how well kept it was and enjoyable for a little exercise for the residents. The gardener was there and he was very courteous to the residents as he performed his job. "

"We moved my mother-in-law to Bonhurst Assisted Living. It's a home with six residents. It's owned by an RN, and she has 2 homes. This particular home her parents lived in, and my mother-in-law, and they're just sweet. She has her private room, and she's well-taken care of. It's a beautiful home and a beautiful neighborhood. She has her bed and she can put whatever she wants in her room. There's a living room and she can sit out there with the others and watch TV. There's a kitchen, they feed her 3 meals a day and snacks. She can walk around the backyard, they have paths, and they can take her for walks if she wouldn't do it herself. When people visit, they have to give a 24-hour notice so they don't have a bunch of people at one time. We didn't taste the food but it smelt good; she's Filipino and makes great food. The price seems high but it seems normal to all the rest."

"My father is in Acting With Love. It's a six-bed facility in a residential neighborhood, so it's actually a home. They've got six people in there. They've got caregivers 24/7. We're happy with it. They just need to keep better track of the clothing, but besides that it's fine. I went back, and I put his name on everything, but he's still wearing stuff that doesn't belong to him. I love the owners. They're very caring. I appreciate the fact that if I have any concerns, I call her and she addresses it immediately. I have no problem with it. I can enter any day and any time I want. I've been there at breakfast time. I've been there at lunchtime, and I even popped in at dinnertime. I haven't tasted their food, but I've watched them cook it and serve it. It's very delicious. There's nothing wrong with it, and it smelled good. I can come in any time, and I liked that. They have activities, but the residents aren't interested. They just want to sit there and watch TV. Pricing is very good."

"My dad will move into By the River Assisted Living. It's a beautiful home. There are only five people there, and it's like a house setting. The lady who owns the home, he used to be her boss, so they know each other. I liked it. It was very homely, the staff seemed to be very friendly, and I think it would be a good fit there. It's small, they have meals at the table, and it's all nice and clean. They have a nice big yard and a gardener. It's right on the river, and they have chickens and a dog, so it's just really nice. They do all his medication control, they cook all his meals, they do his housekeeping, and they make him shower a couple of times a week. We saw the staff preparing the food; it looked fresh."
