I liked The Chalet in Orangeville. I toured the assisted living and it was nice. The staff seemed friendly and professional during my visit. It's either a shared room or a single room for my sister, and they both looked fairly nice and spacious. There weren't any kitchenettes because of the way it was structured. They all eat in the dining area. The dining area looked inviting and nice. It was large enough for the residents who are there. They could eat inside or out on the patio, because they had a patio too. They had an exercise area and a craft room where they do crafts. They have an activity director that participates alongside them. They have a viewing room, too, where they could watch TV or just lounge. They had a space where they could go read books and things like that. They had an activity room as well. I can't rate them on performance because my sister doesn't live there yet. I can only say something based on their presentation during my visit, and it was fine. I just don't know what services they offer. It sounded like it would be something that is workable because they said they will follow the doctor's directions. They will also be able to give her blood-pressure testing once every week or whatever the doctor prescribes.

I’m am very happy to be hear. It’s a very clean safe place to live alone. I love the food . My room /bathrooms are cleaned 2-3times a day.. The staff is always helping everyone and we always have something fun planned for all of us to do. I believe that I have definitely hit the jackpot. Nothing can beat the price of my room and all it has to offer me.

The Chalet is strictly for patients that need a lot of care. It stinks, and I would never want to live in that place. The rooms are very small. They seem to be all one-bedrooms with showers, which is nice. Nevertheless, there was a stench in the place, which was a turn-off. All the patients are playing together, but it's definitely assisted living. The lady that toured us was quite nice. She showed us the building. It's two stories. It had been recently constructed, so there were no grounds and there wasn't enough place to walk out. It is a good location though. The staff was welcoming, very gentle, and kind. She wasn't expecting us to drop by.
