This 5-star rating is for the dedicated Nursing Staff here at the Hills, for their truly outstanding quality of care provided provided 24/7, everyday. I feel fortunate to be surrounded by such awesome, hard working, caring, and talented people. especially Grisalda, Maria Q., Londo, and Stephanie. who are always willing to go that extra mile to make sure your okay Their ability to always be there with a kind word and a smile despite the brutally difficult and often thankless work they perform every single day. 5-STARS!!!

My family has had treatment twice. NOH is great for rehab after injury--they have great, hardworking smart staff and incredible equipment. I would totally recommend them for that. But they are terrible for caring for old helpless people. Look at the OC site for nursing homes--they say there are more patients than beds! There are more patients than staff can care for. The staff are good people (except for a few), there just aren't enough. So they drug and neglect the old people. My family member checked out but it was too late--NOH neglect eventually led to their death.

My husband was at New Orange Hills. He went there for rehab. They're too crowded. There were too many patients. The staff was good. However, there was only one CNA who took care of around 15 people. They should have more people. The food was good. Well, everything was good, but the only thing is that there were less people to help the patients.

New Orange Hills was horrible, and I couldn't wait to get my husband out of there. It was terrible. I was very unhappy with that place. It was old and kind of decrepit. It wasn't particularly clean. Some caregivers were very nice, but most of them were just there to get their money and get their shift over and get out. If you called someone to come, it took them forever to get there. I stayed there a lot of times at night just to make sure that someone was there to take care of him. He got out of bed in the middle of the night because nobody would come to take him to the bathroom. He had brain damage, but he was aware of a lot of stuff. He couldn't walk, so he tried to crawl to the bathroom. I felt that they needed more people to take care of these people and maybe train the staff a little more as well. The lady who was the head of the place was wonderful to him. They gave great physical therapy, but I was not into any of the rest of it. I have nothing really good to say about them other than the people who did the physical therapy were wonderful, along with a couple of the people and the staff. They were terrible as far as the place and most of the care go, but for the physical therapy, I would give a five because they were really good with him. As far as the place and everything else, I would not give more than a one. The food was okay.

Extremely noisy. Floors were dirty. Overcrowded hallways. Staff courteous, but seemingly over-burdened and student nurses loud, leading to a sense of chaos. Slow to accommodate paperwork to transfer. How one could recover here is unknown. Immediately removed family member.

My loved one was in New Orange Hills, and the place is clean. The staff, for the most part, was knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. He was not as crazy about the food. He is diabetic, so they gave him Ensure and sugar-free ice cream.

My family and I did extensive research in Orange County and Los Angeles for a good quality, temporary nursing home for my grandmother. Our top priority was finding the best physical therapy service. We were lucky we were able to get a bed for my grandmother right away because there's typically a 2 month to 3 month waiting list. The physical therapists who worked with my grandmother were excellent (I give them 5+ stars, but the nurses were above average... maybe a low 3 stars). She did get a bedsore during her stay, but it did go away eventually. Overall, we are pleased with our pick.
