I did find Fountain Care Center at the time that I needed respite care for my husband. Most places wouldn't take him because he has a feeding tube. It was clean, it seemed reasonable, it was close to family, and I didn't smell anything. It had outdoor areas that were sheltered, so wheelchairs could go out there. He had a shared room, which was pretty rundown, and I was not too happy with it. The dining area was adequate. The activities seemed to be OK, but they didn't always take him down to the activity room, and that was a bit disappointing. The nurses were very good though. He was there for a total of two weeks.

I will never forgive this place for what they put my family member through. They are now in the hospital with hemorrhoids and bleeding from a uti. This is unacceptable and total NEGLECT on a patient they were suppose to protect and rehabilitate. I have documentation to prove that before they arrived at Fountain Care Center there was NO constipation or uti. We had to pull them out early because they were in such bad shape. Save your family members life and DO NOT take them here. There are other options, please do your research. They are rated 1 out of 5 from the State Board of Health!!!

Fountain Care Center had very good people. They called me every day telling me how my dad was doing. They really went out of their way to take care of him. They let me go in any time I wanted even after hours or midnight. Whenever I wanted to come by, it was open for me. They were really great people. Security was good. There was no problem there. The food was OK. The dining area was pretty nice.

We put my mother at Fountain Care Center, and she is actually there to have therapy on her back. I like that it is clean, they have a lot of staff, and that they are very patient with their patients with Alzheimer's. The food is good. She likes it, and if she didn't like it, she can always order a sandwich or she can have different things. We are happy with the care she is getting.

I was dismayed that each person I spoke to either didn't speak English (not being racist, but would like someone to be able to talk to me) and they were rude. So many lonely people, just sitting along - no activities or anything

I was not a huge fan of this facility. For starters, they did not reposition my relative every two hours like her doctor ordered to prevent bedsores. She ended up getting a stage two bed sore and it was hard to see her in pain. The room she was in was relatively clean but the hallways always smelled like urine, as if the facility was not regularly cleaned. The nurses did not always come right away when called, and many of them had favorites among the residents there. We moved her out of the facility as soon as we could.

The facility has been newly remodeled and looks great from the outside however the care is something that needs to be addressed. THey seem to continue to cut staff and over load the CNAS and LVNS so that they are not able to give the quality of care that loved ones deserve. I am going to start looking for a new facility for our loved one because the help also seems to be cutting corners mroe and more due to the work overload. I would not base the place on the Exterior but rather the quality of care and honestly If you are unable to be there daily and follow up with your loved one this is not the place.

I had a tour of this facility. The exterior is very pleasing to the eye, the building has been remodeled and is well maintained. I am most impressed with the wanderguard system that they have. They can take patients that wander, even thou they are a open facility. The patients wear a bracelet and if they try to get out a door, the alarm goes off. This facility also will take patients on a short term basis if the family is going on vacation or they just need a break. It is accross the street from a large hospital and is located in a nice residential neighborhood. I would recommend this facility.
