We settled on Lafayette Home Care 5. They had 2 caregivers on staff 24 hours a day. The food looked appetizing. The place was very clean. They were very attentive to the residents. There were only 6 residents in the place though. They had activities available, but a lot of the residents preferred not to participate. They could take the person to a doctor?s visit, etc. We were not really there that long because my mom only lasted 7 days there. She passed away mid-October. I do think everything was well cared for; however, the children or the associated spouse with that person should be there on a regular basis just to make sure that they get the attention that they need. I think that goes with any medical organization anyway.

Michelle was extremely helpful when we first shared interest. When it came to Mother finally coming to the home care, she stayed there for a week and then passed away. No fault of the home care, however that was in March 2022 and its Sept 2022. I am still chasing for the deposit that is rightfully ours. After being told multiple times when the funds will be returned, and no funds have been returned. A deposit is one that is not to be touched. When I asked for clarification on the delay, reply is there is really not reason for delay. I have dealt with quite of bit with mothers passing and this should be one least thing I have to worry or chase down . I find its a bit tacky, and I have been more than patient at this point.
