The most important thing about Brookdale Murrieta's assisted living is, the fine staff that they have. They're very, very caring. The room is clean and inviting. I have a studio room and my every need is met so I would highly recommend this place. The pricing was good too. I got in when they had a special going on, so I saved over $900 a month. They have a great dining room and their menu is terrific. There's something to do almost all the time, I'm just not interested. There are games, and wheelchair exercises or sitting exercises. They allow pets, which was a real perk to me. My dog doesn't stay, but she comes to visit. They only have a one-time fee for the dog to live here and they don't increase it each month, which to me is very nice. They take very good care of you. You wear a button and they come immediately if you press it. The staff, be it a housekeeper or the administrator, helps you immediately.

My parents are residents of Brookdale Murrieta. They put my parents in a unit telling me there were no other units, and the unit they put them in was right in front of the facility. It was very noisy and that was not appealing to them. So they have moved to the second floor to a back unit. They are frequently disturbed. They've been to their meals, and people are coming to their room five-plus times a day. They want to do weight checks and stuff at 8:00 at night. Their menu is not for the money that's paid there. They feed them bread and water. They think everybody needs to be on a diet, which is their golden years. They should be able to eat whatever they want. They've had to have plumbing come in and fix the plumbing. They've had to have hot water just because there was no hot water. The maintenance ruined a shower carpet and said they'd replace it, but never replaced it. Their billing is the most screwed up. They're trying to confuse people because they're elderly. They upcharge people for the slightest little things. They tell residents they have to be in their rooms. They're not allowed to be in the common rooms after 8:00. They do competitions where three different people will make different kinds of soup or whatever. Then all the residents get to come and taste them, and then they vote for the best one. They have fun trivia games for the residents. They have bingo. They exercise. They even have church services.

My husband and I went to see Brookdale Murrieta. The buildings were kept up. I think maybe the population was more elderly than the other ones. There was nothing wrong with it at all, other than it just wasn't as lively. The staff was polite and helpful. Everybody was so cheerful and so upbeat. What stood out about Brookdale Murrieta was the cleanliness. They did not smell of urine, leftover food, or anything else. And whatever cleaner they're using was very nicely scented.

My client moved into Brookdale Murrieta. It's a clean and contemporary space. They have a medical staff. The people are friendly from nurses to care staff, to the front desk. And for me, it was also local and convenient, so it was the best in the area. She's not participating too much, but they are very active in engaging her. They visit her. I've seen a lot of personal attention and care for each resident. Her apartment is pretty standard. It has everything that's needed. I wouldn't say that there's anything remarkable about it. I have not personally eaten the food, but I did talk to a number of the residents and even staff about it and got very positive reviews. There's the courtyard, activity room, and centers, there's kind of a living room or den area with a piano, and they do a lot of group activities there. For those who need additional higher levels of care, they may need additional care staff.

Brookdale Murrieta is a very cute place. It's very nice. It is more expensive, and you can tell that by the quality of the rooms and the facility itself. The facility is pretty small, which is fine. It's more quaint. However, it's out of my grandmother's budget.

Brookdale Murrieta had very nice accommodations. The person who brought us around was very informative. I didn't see any staff, but I met the nurse who gave me the assessment. The downfall is cost. It's more like an apartment type. The room I was looking at had new carpeting and flooring. They had all kinds of activities. They had a beauty salon, housekeeping, trash removal, and an exercise room. The place was really good, they had a lot to offer. I did not try a meal, but we had cookies and water.

We really love Brookdale Murrieta. It was a great tour. The one thing we loved about it was dogs that were allowed. They would have allowed my mom to bring her small dog in. They would have allowed animals, and they had animal care which was very sweet. The staff was very informative, and we got to meet all of them. It was a wonderful place, and the staff was really impressive. They had an exercise room, a library, a game room, movie night, church services, outside garden, and a pool. The rooms were beautiful. My mom would have been overlooking a golf course. The chef was a sweet guy, and we were so impressed with their menu.

I moved back to Brookdale Murrieta. We're just finally coming out of a lockdown. We only lost a few people -- we lost a couple of people. They've gone through and vaccinated everyone over the last six weeks, so we're doing that. They're really good at that. We are still split up on food service as we adapt to this. I think they're doing great. The caregivers are really excellent here. My room and bath are excellent. So much has been cut back and is just now being rebuilt.

My first impression of Brookdale Murrieta was it was outdated and other places were much nicer. We didn't care for the room we saw, it was just a room with nothing different about it. The staff who gave me the tour was very nice and accommodating. The dining area looked very nice, no one was there at the time I was there. I also didn't observe any activities going on, nothing stands out to me about them. The place looked worn and old, and it was very unappealing.

Brookdale Murrieta was a little expensive, but it did have a nursing staff, so I liked it for that reason. The rooms were very nice, and they were upstairs, but there was an elevator. The place is beautiful, nice, and well-kept. They have different activities and a game room. The dining room is so nice. It's like going to a restaurant because there are white tablecloths and the day's menu is on the table. The food is very good.

I visited and liked Brookdale. I felt like they were pretty good and polite. The residents were fine. It was like a home. I wouldn't mind putting a parent in there They do have a daily program of activities, like bingo, enjoying a cup of coffee, and just talking to your friends.

I visited Brookdale Murrieta, but I did not like the location, and the rooms were too small for her. The staff who accommodated me was fine, energetic, and pleasant. I didn’t see residents walking around but it was dinner time. The whole place looked clean and nice. Everybody seemed nice. The only downside was the room was too small for her.

My mother is a Brookdale resident in another part of the state, but I am looking at relocating her to be closer to family. Brookdale, in my experience, is a high-quality organization. The staff is very compassionate, the food is quite good (surprisingly good, in fact). From a caregiver's perspective, I am especially comforted and impressed by the personal touch so evident in Brookdale staff. People seem genuinely happy in their surroundings, both residents and caregivers. I would not hesitate to recommend Brookdale to those dealing with the hard circumstances of aging parents.

Our visit with Brookdale Murrieta was absolutely fantastic, and that is where she is. We put her there also because it is closer to her biological son. We were able to talk to some of the residents in there, and they raved about the place. Everything that we were told on the initial visit since she has been in there -- they have stepped up to everything they said. We have no bad experiences, and they are extremely caring. When she needs some assistance, they are right there. When you walk into the place, it’s almost like walking into a grand hotel. It's just beautiful, and everything was spotless. I love the way they come in and do the cleaning. Her laundry is done right there so you don’t have to worry about the clothes disappearing. Everything is kept together, and it's wonderful.

It was nice. It was just a little smaller, but it was a very nice location and very convenient to shopping that you wouldn't have to necessarily travel all the time; you could walk if you were able. I had visited a couple of friends who live there, and the staff was friendly. They don't have a swimming pool, but they had games, people coming in, and just regular activities. It was a little smaller and a little older, but it was a very good location.

It is a very appealing property, is positive, has well-kept grounds, has a comfort feeling, and is very secure. Staff were very polite and helpful.

We went to visit and I really liked the administrator. She was very well spoken and very professional. She sat down with us for probably an hour and a half and took us everywhere in the facility. They have a lot of activities. The staff seemed really nice, and it seemed like they would come and assist her if she needed anything. I walked through there, and they were really friendly.

It was close to my home. The staff was excellent -- she was incredibly knowledgeable as well as very open and transparent. They have information on the costs and they made sure that we understood whether there were additional costs, too. The facility was very clean; the people were very friendly; and the residents were really out and using the facility. The rooms were of varying sizes. It was a much more friendly experience.

It was nice. One thing we did like about it was that the staff and the residents were very friendly. The only thing I did not particularly care for is that it felt a little more institutional. There was only one way out -- just a small courtyard -- and none of the buildings or apartments opened up. The rooms were nice. The dining room was nice. I didn't care for the fact that they had assigned sitting, but I guess they have reasons for that.

When we walked, it was very welcoming and clean. All the residents seemed happy. They were sitting around, some of them had their little dogs and they were laughing. They were like "Hi! How are you?" talking to us. It was a big plus for me when all the residents were happy, talking and smiling. The staff was very sweet and they called me several times to know what was going on with mom. They seemed very caring. We didn' actually see any apartments though because they were all filled up.

This one is our favorite. When my mom needs to go somewhere, that's where she'll go. It just felt more homey and she felt more comfortable there. The environment was very pleasant and very friendly. The building was nice and not too large. Their apartments were pleasant. They have studios which are not huge, but for a studio, they're nice. They have high ceilings and their windows have a view. Food was good. It was also a lot better than the food from other facilities we visited. The staff seemed to care about what you like and they're very attentive. We just overall like this place better than the others we saw; however, it is very expensive.

When we walked in to the lobby, there are six to eight individuals sitting in the lobby in wheelchairs that were basically unable to communicate and that was really depressing. My father would not want to consider that facility because he is quite active in comparison to that. But I know the staff, I'm sure, takes good care of the residents. The people that were running the place were quite friendly. I don't mean to sound judgmental, but basically the place is not conducive to someone as active as my father.

The only place I visited was this one. The staff were very nice and friendly. They treated the residents like family. I was introduced to their chef who was with them for 15 years and I thought that that was really impressive. His menu was really good and when I left, they gave me an apple pie just because I toured their facility. The staff showed me three different rooms that were available; one room had the golf course view and the other had more light coming in. It was a very nice place and I didn't really find anything wrong with it. I would have loved to put my dad there if we could have afforded it.

It is a very clean and well-kept facility. I don't have any complaints with them. My mom is very happy in there. The food was very good. They have a whole calendar of activities. They have a courtyard in there and it does not feel like a hospital; it's a home-like setting. The staff are very friendly, kind, and just very welcoming and they seemed that they like their job.
