Sunshine Board and Care has a very nice staff. They are very happy, friendly, and they really try to make you a part of their family. They have a lot of different things to do. They have games that they play and holiday events/parties where family members are invited in. They actually hired a magician to come in and entertain one day, and they had a barbecue another time for the holidays. It was fun. They played a lot of games and entertained the whole group. They also have an outdoor patio area and a railroad museum located right down the street (not even a block away). If they want to walk, they can walk with assistance. They will take them to their doctors' appointments if needed. If there are any concerns, they always call my sisters and I right away and let us know if there's anything we need to be aware of. The food is great. They cook their meals, but they'll order special meals as well for something fun and different to do (they have to keep in mind everybody's diet of course!). They do get togethers, exercises, and offer different fun snacks for them to choose from. The facility is very clean. Everything is easily accessible. I've gone over there without being announced several times just to check and make sure that things are working appropriately, and I have nothing but good things to write about them. It's a good price for what they offer and I'm very, very happy there. My mom is very happy, too.
