I am currently at Desert Cove Boutique Assisted Living. It's about one year now since I have been here. The overall experience was very good. It’s a small community with only 12 beds. My room is very comfortable and it feels homey. I think their food can be improved. They do have some recreational activities, but I can't walk, so I am not able to avail myself of the opportunities. The staff, basically, was very nice.

I had someone living at Desert Cove. Very disappointed! They have no activities, the food is terrible, they have caretakers come and go like a revolving door. The director is hardly ever there. They get the medication mixed up. These poor people living there are so bord, they have nothing to do.

I chose Desert Cove for my mom becuase I liked the price. It’s a smaller facility with about 12 or 16 beds. I have met a couple of friendly staff members, and the whole place is very well maintained. The residents seem relaxed and happy. The grounds of the community are good and include some walking paths. The surrounding neighborhood is an older one. They say my mom is eating very well, so that should be very good for her.

I like the small size of Desert Cove. We’re happy with all of it. They have various activities depending on the day. They have crafts, they bring people in that sing with the people and children’s choir and they have interactive cooking. They have two dining rooms and they seem to be well cared for. The staff is fine, however, they should have full time management.
