My Mom moved into Atria Hacienda and is thriving. They have great food and provide 3 meals a day. I highly recommend Atria.

Atria Hacienda was just a very lovely, comfortable place. I can't say anything least about it because it was all very nice. The staff was very nice, knowledgeable, kind, happy to talk to you and help you. The rooms were very nice and clean. Everything is always freshly painted when you move in there. It's a good size and comfortable. It's very homey. It wasn't institutional at all. It's very close to shopping, restaurants, and church. Everything is very close. We had lunch there and it was really good. The menus vary and it's very good. Everything's freshly made. They had three dining areas there, and they were lovely. There are activities. They have all that you could possibly want. There's a movie theater, art classes and clubs, and card clubs.

I liked Atria Hacienda. It was very neat, kept up, and cheerful. The people that I spoke with were nice. The person who showed me around was very knowledgeable about everything. She was very cheerful and made me feel very comfortable. I liked the apartments, they looked cheery. And I liked that I could have a place for my car that was under cover. There were 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments with a couple of options, and they had lots of activities. I liked the way that the food was planned and you didn't have to pay a certain amount extra for the food.

When I toured Atria Hacienda, I looked at both assisted living and the memory care sections. Both sections were very nice. I was very impressed with the staff. It was just very positive and welcoming. The woman that gave me the tour was knowledgeable about the facility and about the different levels of care. She also showed a genuine concern for the residents there. The dining was actually more like a restaurant area, where people could order things they wanted at any time. In the memory care, dining was more restrictive. They had some water aerobics that were happening in the pool. In one of the rooms, they had puzzles and some arts and crafts. There were things happening. They had a movie theater area that was nice, and they had a little sitting area. It didn't have an institutional type of feel. You had small living room areas, where people could gather, sit with their friends, or read. They were not just in a giant room together or in their own individual rooms.

Check the rooms for size needs and cost and location. Different prices and more socializing opportunities on lower floor. The staff is more visible on the main floor. Staff is responsive to requests. The food is reliably predictable. Our relative liked conversational opportunities with staff and other residents, but not so with games and group activities. Using the back entrance is preferable as staff responds to the doorbell more quickly. Security is highly monitored and staff assist residents as needed in activities and daily routines. The Life Guidance counselor, Mary, is the highlight of the staff as far as we are concerned. She listens and responds to input and suggestions as well as a very caring and empathetic person and employee. We would rate the other staff members higher, but we were required to hire private 24/7 one-to-one caregivers to meet his daily needs.

Hello, Thank you for sharing your family's experience. Your compliments are a highlight for our team. Thank you for choosing Atria.

I went to Atria Hacienda. It was a good tour. It's a nice place, very new, and modern. There are a lot of activities for people. Out of all the places I looked at, it was probably the best place as far as what it had to offer. It was expensive though. You pay for what you get and everything like that, but it was the best community that I looked at. They got a bus to take people if they don't want to stay there. They've got a movie theater, they've got morning activities as far as tai-chi, and all those little physical activities. Onsite, they've got a physical therapy place. They also have a hair salon if the ladies want to go get their hair cut and I guess they do men as well. They had a lot to offer. The issue with us specifically would be that I don't know if my mom would utilize all that stuff. She doesn't need a swimming pool or whatever, but they've got all that stuff if you want it. Depending on your age, you may or may not be using those amenities. The rooms were nice and big. I like their bathrooms. Their bathrooms were basically level walking; there was no step.

Provider Response

Dan, It was our pleasure to show you and your family our community. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.

My mother chose Atria Hacienda. She is starting at the independent level. The layout is great. They've got wide hallways, a very nice reception area, and nice little family areas when you first come in. There's a library and a meeting room for new clients and people that are looking. They had three different dining rooms, and it's very clean and very well kept. The staff during my visit was great, very informative, and very helpful. There were several amenities. There was a crafts room, a gym, an area where they do chair exercises, a heated pool, and outside patio areas. The staff was very accommodating and answered all my questions, and she's done a lot of follow-ups. I looked at different Atria facilities, but this one met my mother's needs.

Provider Response

Hi Matthew, We're happy to have your mother call Atria home. We value your feedback and appreciate your kind compliments of our staff.

Atria Hacienda was a lot bigger and had more residents. The showers they had were a straight shot for someone in a wheelchair. So, there was no lip on the edge of the walk-in shower and it was much easier for wheelchair access. We don't really need that for now, but it's going to be at some point, and we're just being proactive. It's got a better layout and the place felt more like an apartment complex. It was nice.

Provider Response

Hi Nina, Thank you for visiting with us, and we look forward to seeing your family again soon. Please let us know if we can support you further in your senior living search.

Atria Hacienda was fine. It's a brand-new facility and has a lot to offer, but I'm not ready for a retirement home. That is, they have independent living, but it's mixed in with assisted living and more terminally ill patients. If you're going to offer a place as an independent living, one shouldn't be in a facility where you encounter people who are less energetic than I would appreciate. It should be a separate wing or separate facility on the grounds, but they have both of those units mixed together, and it doesn't ring well with me. The facility itself physically was really wonderful. The apartments were large. The amenities were terrific. But again, you make the independent living with the not so well with, let me say, terminally unwell people, and you see them on a daily basis. You can't go to breakfast, lunch, or dinner there and enjoy your meal if somebody is unable to feed themselves, unable to sit by themselves without support, with an aid or something like that, or that it was just, let me put it this way, it wasn't what I expected. So the prices were right, the amenities were right, but the conditions were wrong. They have a landscaped courtyard, they have a swimming pool, they have arts and crafts, music, and rooms where you can play cards, or relax and read a book. They have a beauty salon for the ladies, and a mini-gym, and they're self-contained. You don't have to go outside.

I like Atria Hacienda. The place is very nice. The people were very nice. The size of the unit was a little bit bigger, and that was one of the reasons that I liked it of most of the places that I toured. I liked the layout. At this point, that's the one I like the best. Everybody seemed happy, which was a nice thing. They have games and card games. They have a movie theater, and they have a pool. They seem to have enough to keep you busy, as busy as you want to be. We didn't try the food, but they did give us some cookies (which were absolutely delicious). I had very little experience with their staff, but everybody was very nice.

Atria Hacienda was a very nice place. They offer pretty much everything I would think anybody would want. It's perfectly well maintained. The interior of the units was very nice and good floor plan even for a studio apartment. The staff was very nice, professional, and answered all our questions and all the information. It was a very good visit. They had the salon, they had two group activities in progress, and they had an impressive-looking kitchen, not exactly the food being prepared, but the equipment was good. They offered a wide menu plan. I think it was an open restaurant, 7 to 7, and they can order anything they wanted.

Thank you to the staff of Atria Hacienda....its been a challenging few weeks moving my mother to memory care at her request. The staff has been nothing short of amazing with patience and caring... taking all my mothers crazy antics in stride. Everyone showed such care and patience treating us as if we are the only resident and family they have to care for. I am very appreciative Atria kept my mother safe and heathy though these past 14 months of Covid. THANK YOU TEAM ATRIA HACIENDA ! !

After looking at several assisted living facilities, we chose Atria Hacienda to move my mom to 3 years ago. The apartments are good size (bigger than some of our kids!), they have kitchens with a stove, microwave, dishwasher and a full size refrigerator. Our mom's furniture fit nicely and that made her feel 'at home' in her new place. Our favorite part of her particular apartment is its fenced in patio that views the pool. It's also an end unit so she has lots of privacy. The units are quiet, very clean and well laid out. We are impressed by how friendly the staff is, everyone says hi to you and smiles. The residents are all well dressed and seem happy too. My mom has played bingo, bridge, gone to the movies, enjoyed flower arranging and jewelry making - plus the additional entertainment that visits Atria. There's always something going on if a resident wants to participate. My mom started with no additional care but now has help with bathing a couple times a week, and daily medication. Lupe, my mom's main caregiver, is a caring, compassionate lady - and my mom likes her! COVID was a challenge for everyone but the staff worked hard to keep the residents engaged safely. We did weekly zoom calls that they set up. Those really helped keep all of us connected. Their restaurant (and happy hour) is great. As soon as the COVID restrictions lift, we'll be back enjoying lunch or dinner with my mom. My mom turns 97 this year and we're happy she's in a safe environment that's close to her family.

It is difficult to say because I lived through a period like no other(pandemic). Nevertheless, anyone interested in Independent Living at Atria Hacienda should know that at any time when there are episodes of of possible contagion there will be a lock down and such periods can be difficult to handle due to no direct contact with family. However, when all is normal your life can be perhaps as delightful as it was in your own home meeting new friends , no shopping for groceries, no cooking, no repairs etc, etc. There are a variety of activities for all tastes. During summer time you can enjoy the pool as well special outings and entertainment.

We're thrilled that you choose to call Atria home. It's our pleasure to serve you and each of our residents every day.

We did an in-person tour of Atria Hacienda, it was very good. The room is very nice and I like some of the things that they have. They have a common area in the middle, you can have a patio, and you can walk out into the middle area but you can't get out from the middle area. Basically, no one can wander off or anything like that Initially, we were gonna be off to food tasting But because of COVID-19 they couldn't do that for us, but they did offer. They did send us a complete video of a lot of the meals that they serve. We looked at the menu and probably counting everything, there were 18 different plates. Of all the places that we looked at or saw on virtual tours, or pictures of, and saw in person, I personally thought Atria Hacienda was the best. The staff was very friendly, very nice, and very accommodating. I wasn't able to taste the food but I saw a video of all the food and the chef they have. My wife looked at the video and she made a comment saying that it's almost like being on a cruise ship that doesn't leave the dock.

My mother-in-law has moved into Atria Hacienda. We had a virtual tour. We were able to go in the backdoor just really close to the room that she was going to occupy. The room is great. One of the things that I particularly like about the layout is that when you walk into the room you don't see the beds. It is not like the occupant is just living in a bedroom. It feels like a suite where you walk in and there is like a living room area and then off to the right is where the bed is, but you don't see it the minute you walk in the door. I very much like the layout. The staff has been really helpful, caring, and personal. It feels like it is a very good place. I don't think there are a lot of activities during COVID, and dining, I think, is also impacted by COVID because the residents have to eat in their rooms. I don't think they can order off the menu where typically they would be able to go sit down and order off the menu. I'm very happy with it. I think my mother-in-law hasn't complained about the food. I like Atria Hacienda; I very much like them.

My mother stayed at Atria Hacienda. She started out independent and then went to assisted living. Everything was very nice and very good. I had no complaints at all. She just needed more care, and it was getting too expensive. It's very clean. She was on the first floor, and the landscaping was very nice. There were so many activities to choose from like Bingo, crafts, movies, popcorn nights, and live music. We were overall very pleased and mom loved it.

We chose Atria Hacienda for my mom because of price, the personnel, and the location. The staff member I met oversaw a lot of caregivers there, and so I felt comfortable that I would have more eyes on my mom. I was personally introduced to the person who would be getting us in there. I wanted it to be as close to home as possible so that it made it easy for me to visit when I wanted to. I really liked the size of the rooms and the private bath, there was a delineation of the sleeping area to the sitting area, and it was substantially larger than the other place I looked at. I liked the living areas and outside patio area. When I got there there there were people outside singing. I went to the dining area and saw a large sitting area and a big fish tank. It was bright and cheery. There were a couple of places you could eat in the assisted living area.

Atria Hacienda was a large community, and it felt more like a hotel. We visited the whole place and I was treated very well. They had a movie theater. The building was totally updated. They're very amicable. It had a Western look with Mexican style tile. Its appearance was more of a desert. They had bougainvillea, palm trees, nice landscaping, morning glories, and flowers all around. The dining room was nice.

What I like about Atria Hacienda are the people that are there and the people that take care of you. The rooms are very wonderful. You have choices of sizes that you want or need, so you make the choices according to what you can afford. The rooms are very nice. They’re exactly what I want. The food was excellent. I was given choices and options. Every time I come into town, I have been invited to go at lunch or dinner or whatever I want. The dining area is very nice. There’s 2 of them. There’s a dining area and a grill kind of. They have more activities than I can ever do in my lifetime.

Atria is probably one of the best of its kind, and I’m extremely happy with it. The care of the staff was absolutely wonderful. Mary is the person in charge of memory care, and there couldn’t be a better person. She is helpful, kind, and always ready and able to do anything she can to make my husband, and I am comfortable and satisfied. He’s only been there a week and a half, and I’m extremely happy. It couldn’t be a better situation.

Atria was quite nice, but it wasn’t what I wanted. I only saw apartments, and either the people I was visiting were not as needy as I, but I have maid service at the facility that I am in or housekeeper once a week -- and I think they also do -- but it was nothing like home. They had a 2-bedroom, and it looked just like an apartment. I came in to the patio -- which was quite small -- and they had no garage. The staff was very friendly, and it looked like a place for old people. It’s clean and well-maintained.

We are moving to Atria Hacienda. Their rooms have a top burner, a refrigerator, and a microwave. We want somewhere to fix breakfast but then eat the rest of the meals in the dining room. The dining room looked very pleasant. They had a nice menu, and you can eat anytime of the day you want. I was very pleased that Atria Hacienda could work with me quite a bit. It was the most expensive one, so I don’t like the price, but they have done a lot for me. It has been a very pleasant experience.

I visited Atria Hacienda. It is the top-of-the-line. Out of the four that I have gone to, it is my favorite because of their flexibility. They have a dining room that is open. You can go in whenever you want to get food. You do not have to show up at noon for lunch or be cut off at 1 or 1:30, so I like that flexibility. The location is excellent. It is across the street from our regional mall and so there is many places you could walk to. Also they have early-morning walking in the mall when the weather is bad. They have two separate restaurants and very good and very nice rooms for the library and theater seating for movies. It is top-of-the-line, but it is also the most expensive. One bedroom is ranging around $4,400 to $4,600.

One of the top two places that would be conducive to my parents is the Atria Hacienda. First of all, the gal was very pleasant, and the community itself was very clean and very welcoming. The apartments available were very roomy, it seemed like the residents were very happy, and they had a lot of activities to offer. I like the fact that they offer quite a selection, the dining hall had linen tablecloths and linen napkins, so it felt homey, and I just felt that they went above and beyond to make the residents feel welcome. It appeared that the staff was very attentive, and they seemed very friendly. I know that they have like a social hour, card games, and a theater, they bring in lecturers or speakers, and they have an exercise group. It is right across the street from the local mall, and the hospital is one major block away, so it is close to the hospital my parents use for their healthcare. The location is very ideal for them.

I liked the Atria Hacienda very much. Everything about it was nice. If I were to consider going to a place that I could afford, that is probably where I would have gone. The room where my cousin was is small, but I did see the other rooms and they were larger. They were a decent size. The food was good, the facility was nice and clean, and I thought it was a good place to be.

What I like about Atria Hacienda is that the people are very friendly. My mom got into several conversations with different people. They seem to have a lot of different activities going on for seniors. They had a cute little beach shore place which is adorable. The rooms are pretty good, and their sizes are decent. The biggest issue I had with the room is that it's dark. It’s painted with dark colors and the bathroom also has dark colors. What we didn’t care for was their dining area as it was very much like a cafeteria. They have just very casual tables, and it just didn’t feel like fine dining. The food was outstanding.

I did visit Atria Hacienda and the people were nice and very professional. Their landscaping was very well kept up. I found the place to be very adequate for my mom to live and we are on a waiting list right now. They have a lot of activities and they have a club house where you can do stuff. It looked like they had a lot of information on scheduled dates with their activities. It looked very organized.

Atria had a veteran's luncheon, and they had a volunteer who was very knowledgeable about veterans' benefits. My husband was a World War II veteran, and that was very helpful. The people were very nice and helpful. I just didn't like the facilities. They were located in a very busy and high-traffic highway. The rooms were really small and not very well appointed, and I didn't like the food.

Provider Response

Thank you for coming in to visit our community. I am happy that you enjoyed the Veteran's luncheon and our lovely staff. I am sorry that we could not accommodate your preferences and would love to share information about our other communities in the area if you are interested. I picked Atria Hacienda for my parents, and they will be moving soon. I chose it because it didn?t feel like an assisted living place. The apartments felt like condominiums and not like a hotel. Everything looks very new. The room is very clean and really pretty. They all have balconies or patios, and I really like that. The staff were very helpful, and they always tell me that I can call them, and every time I call them, they call me right back. We have eaten there several times, and there are two dining rooms, and the food is very good. They have a very large exercise room with an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi. I would like to live there. I would just like for them to have an indoor pool because when it's summertime, nobody can use the pool because it's too hot.

I did visit Atria Hacienda and I was about to sign a contract there. I like the facility very much. I like the layout of the place. I like the way the personnel interacted with the patients there. I had a one-on-one with one of the counselor and she was very helpful. They were able to check on me again. We had dinner there one night and it was excellent.

I have come across Atria Hacienda through an online senior services website. Its price was within the market. They're an excellent facility. They're very nicely laid out and I think they have the facilities to assist my dad. The staff was friendly and caring. They were very receptive and they did a lot of following up with me.

Atria had an extra staff for memory care patients. They actually had computer room for people like my mom that had some memory issues and worked with them. They don't have to be in a special designated place because she was not that bad. She could take care of herself. She just couldn't remember things. They had special program for people there in that place that they take them into these classes, which I thought was pretty cool. They had an indoor pool. I liked the food. I thought the staff was very knowledgeable and had more to offer for memory care people. They were friendly and very helpful. They had a nice dining room. They had a designated movie area. However, the rooms were smaller than where my mom was right now. It had a window but no balcony.

The Atria was very clean and nice. The woman who worked with me was wonderful and she had me come for lunch and that's when I decided I didn't like the food there. It was well done but the food was kind of like restaurant food. I eat gluten-free and organic so you can imagine that wasn't anything like that. It was too much like a facility for aged people. I saw groups of people sitting at card tables playing cards and they had a nurse's assistant with them. I think the people were mingled together even though it was independent living and they were being led by nurse's aides. I walked in there and I felt depressed. I think the location is difficult. It looks like squashed in between office buildings. It's in a very busy street and there's a big shopping center across the street and it's off one of the main highways that goes to the desert. Even though they had a pool and a grassy area, I knew that Atria wasn't for me. I'm more out an outgoing sort of person and if you're a stay at home kind of person, I guess that wouldn't be so bad. When I walked out the front door, it's surrounded by a small parking lot. There was a man sitting there who looked like he had dementia or else he was depressed. I thought these older men couldn't just walk away but it almost seemed like he could and there was a busy street there.

Provider Response

Thank you for your review. I'm so glad to hear that you found our community to be pleasant, and I am sorry that our meal options and location did not fit well with your preferences. Our community offers both independent and assisted living, as well as memory care. Our independent residents do participate in activities with those who require assistance, and we offer over 200 events, activities, and outings each month. Our memory care residents reside in a separate, secure area but also enjoy a very full calendar and plenty of engagement. The safety of those who live at our community is of the utmost importance. Those who are at risk for wandering are closely supervised, but our residents who are able may come and go as they please. If we can ever be of assistance to you, please call us or email (please include the Atria community name in your subject line).

We chose Atria Hacienda because of the well-founded reputation especially for having excellent food. The caregivers were very accommodating and caring. Although on occasions, the serving people at the grill took a little too long to notice you.

Thank you for your review. I'm very happy to hear that you were pleased with our staff and meal options. We certainly aim to exceed the expectations of our residents. I will be sure to share your comments with the appropriate staff so that we can make sure that we acknowledge our guests in the dining areas right away. The only problem that I had with the Atria Hacienda as with most of the facilities was there were not that many, I don't think there was any Spanish speaking personnel. Unfortunately, that's one thing that we need because my mom speaks very broken English. I need a place where she can relate to some other people. I am sixty seven years old and if I had my way, I would go there myself. The amenities were excellent, the staff was perfect, and I did not see any problems at all.

Provider Response

I am glad to hear that you were happy with our staff and the amenities we offer, and I will certainly share your suggestion of expanded language options with the appropriate staff. Please contact us with any questions or concerns that may come up in the future.

If I have to decide to stay in a senior facility, Atria Hacienda would be the place. I was very impressed with them. The environment was very comfortable. It had some elegance and element of environmental beauty that I enjoyed. It was just very clean and very well furnished. A movie theatre was inside the facility too as part of their amenities. I had a lunch there and their food was absolutely delicious. They also had a lot of extra activities that were appealing to me. They had exercise classes and day trips and speakers would come in and talk on different subjects. The staff also came across as extremely friendly. Their apartment size would be an adjustment for me because I like a little room, but if I was going to make that move, Atria Hacienda is where I would go.

Atria Hacienda is very, very nice but it's just too small for me. The receptionist Gretchen is great. They have lots of entertainment, movies, bingo socials, and someone comes in to play the piano for them. I recommend Atria very, very highly.

I lived there for 8 years. I moved out once because I decided to live in a condo and I didn't like it so I went back. I had a lot of friends there. I was very active then and I was in charged of entertainment. I got 3 or 4 tables of bridge that I started and I ran it. I had a nice one bedroom apartment. The food is better because we paid more there. The staff there are fine. I think that the top management there needs to improve in handling the facility. They try to ran it more and tell the residents what they want instead of asking the residents what they want.

Provider Response

Thank you for your feedback on our community. I will make sure that the appropriate people also read your suggestion of making sure we are always asking residents what they would like their Atria experience to include. I encourage you to also make sure you include this the next time to receive your customer satisfaction survey. If you would like to discuss any concerns or you have any questions, just email us and include you Atria community name in the subject line.
