We really like this community because of the smaller setting compared to the other ones in the area. Very easy for our mom to get around and her apartment is very close to the dining room and other amenities. Bingo every day at 2p is a bonus for her!

As you can see from my star ratings, I am very satisfied living here. Kudos to the managers, the staff, and my fellow residents for making my life here a pleasure. Is everything perfect....NO. All things considered, it's close enough to perfect to deserve my 5STAR rating.

The rooms are beautifully put together and it feels really homey. My girlfriend’s grandma lives here and we enjoy coming to visit and seeing how happy she is. She has many friends and enjoys not being alone. Thank you for taking good care of her.

We moved Mom to Atria Palm Desert, but she only lasted a few days and fell again and broke her other hip and now she's in rehab. We went to about ten different places before we chose Atria. It was smaller than some and more intimate. The staff was friendly, helpful, and personable. It was clean. The residents seemed happy. They had activities that were going on and the residents were joining in and it was good to see that. That's what I wanted for my mom. They were taken to a dining room. The food needed a little improvement, but it was still good.

My grandma has been living here for two years and has continued to have a positive experience. Every time I visit her she updates me on the fun activities she's been involved with at Atria. She has made great friends with other residents as well as the staff. She and I are both happy with the decision to have her live here.

I have a friend that moved into the community about a month ago and he is doing very well. He’s had some recent surgery and the care team has really made sure that his recovery has been a successful one. It was also a nice touch putting his picture on the beautiful Vet wall. Thanks to all for taking such good care of him and all of the residents. It’s very obvious as you walk around that the residents are very happy living there.

My grandmother moved in about 6 months ago and she is doing very well. The new activities person has a lot of energy and is a nice addition to an already wonderful staff. The front desk always makes you feel welcomed and helps arrange her transportation. The maintenance director, who has been there for 30 years, was very helpful on move in day helping us with a few last minute items. Her apartment is always clean thanks to housekeeping, and she has been there for 30 years as well. That should tell you something having staff members that dedicated, which you don't see that often anywhere. Kudos to the entire staff!

Just wanted to give a shout out to the staff and especially the care and culinary team as they have made our dad's recent move seamless. He has some cognition issues and they have helped him integrate and make new friends the day he walked in the door on our first visit. He loves the food and participates in the daily happy hour. It is also a nice benefit being directly across the street from the Joslyn Senior Center, as he enjoys the Sunday concerts there. Thanks to everyone making him feel safe and comfortable!

My MIL moved in 3 years ago and everything has been wonderful. Even with the challenges of COVID, the staff has made her feel like this is her home and feel very secure. The studio apartment size has the perfect amount of space for all of her belongings without feeling too cramped. She also has a nice outdoor patio area for her flowers. She does participate in several activities and since she doesn't drive anymore the transportation service is a great option. We look forward to many more years of her being a resident at this beautiful community!

Atria Palm Desert was very clean. Everybody was friendly and all the residents were happy. They were visiting and seemed like they were going about their daily life and enjoying everything. So, that was good. It looked like it had very nice facilities, too. The staff was very friendly and very professional. They were greeting residents by name, which made me feel like they cared about the people. The rooms were a little bit smaller, but they had a lot of extra areas, like a library and various places where the residents could just come out and gather. So, there are still lots of gathering places where they can socialize.

Finding a place for Mom is never easy. There is no playbook, there are no instructions. Yet this is one of the biggest decisions you'll make. With an overwhelming surge of emotions, logistical challenges, and endless sleepless nights that come from losing a loved one... there we were, needing to find a place for Mom. My husband toured seven facilities in our area, his sister, two more near her. The list narrowed to three which included Atria Palm Desert. Upon arrival our chaotic emotions were immediately eased. The staff were welcoming in a sincere, close-knit-family type way. We felt the boutique style of living would provide Mom the tender transition into independent living which she had not experienced since her teens. The staff from receptionist to transportation driver, sales team to dynamic activities coordinator, wait staff and maintenance crew, each greeted us with a smile and personal introduction. We knew this was THE place for OUR mom. We were able to personalize her apartment with new paint, light fixtures, and creature comforts. This was important to our family. The ratings below reflect our experience thus far, and we look forward to sharing more feedback details as mom transitions into the facility.

I am a resident of Atria Palm Desert. In the short time I've been here, I've been very comfortable. Everyone is very friendly, and I'm amazed they remember my name so quickly. It feels very homelike. I am very, very comfortable here. We have the beauty parlor, aqua exercises, Bingo, blackjack, happy hour, movies, and total body conditioning. There's a lack of staffing because of COVID. They're not as up to par as they used to be. I've heard a lot of comments, but it's slowly going up. It is so understaffed that what with the little bit of staff we have now, they're wonderful. They're doing a superb job. More than one person should be doing this because of the lack of staffing. The food is very good, very diverse, and that chef is doing new things. It's great. The facility is beautiful. They want to have more games than they used to have, and slowly, they're starting to add a few more as well. It's comparable to living out in an apartment. It's very homey, everyone makes you feel at home. When I walked into Atria, I knew this was the place.

We moved our 84 year old mother to Atria Palm Desert in early 2021. They have done an excellent job managing Covid (in terms of keeping residents safe but not putting them in total lockdown. Their preventative measures have been reasonable. The entire staff has been excellent. During the initial arrival, Cheree, the executive director, was responsive and professional to my questions. She even called me back on her personal time off. Daniel in activities does a great job keeping residents involved in ongoing activities. Mike, in maintenance, addresses items that come up quickly. Debbie, at the front desk, is a great initial presence to Atria. She. Knows everyone by name and is super thoughtful. Memo, the driver, even took my mom’s watch and got new batteries for it. Atria Palm Desert was everything I was looking for in a suitable location for my mom. I would recommend it to anyone.

When we decided to move my 87 year old Dad from the midwest to the Coachella Valley, the people at Atria Palm Desert stepped up to the plate. The apartment we picked so happened to also be the display unit (with furniture). It not being worth the expense, nor did we have time to ship any furniture from his house, Atria allowed us to use their furniture while we scrambled to get his own. They have been terrific in helping my Dad adjust to assisted living after being independent all his life. They keep him active and social. Most importantly, I think is they keep a safe environment. He seems very happy with his new home and I think even after just 2 months he is settling in nicely.

We are very happy that we found Atria. My brother's apartment is just what he needed. The right size. Very clean and comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The transportation provided for doctors visits is much appreciated. The dining area is very pleasant and inviting. The selection of entrees is impressive and excellent tasting food. He enjoys bingo and loves the pool. Never misses a happy hour.

My family and I are so happy that we found Atria in Palm Desert. This facility is wonderful in so many ways. From Debbie, Alyssa and Mike at reception, to the med techs providing medications and care, to Daniel with his always ready smile and energy for activities, this facility is the best place we could have found for our Mom. The apartment Mom has is spacious and the facility in general is very clean, bright and well appointed. Mom always comments about how nice and helpful the staff is and how happy and comfortable she feels there. I would also like to commend the administrator, Cheree, and her staff who have always responded to any questions or concerns I might have in a professional and timely manner. Atria Palm Desert provides a safe, caring and happy atmosphere for our Mom.

Our mother has resided at the outstanding Atria Palm Desert for several years and couldn’t be happier. She frequently mentions how much she loves and appreciates all of her caretakers. And we have noticed ourselves that EVERY individual staff member, regardless of the role they are in, is so warm and friendly and always very responsive. In addition to delicious meals and a variety of menu options, our mother also really likes the fact that you can have lots of privacy in your own apartment if that is what you want, but you can also easily find friendship and a welcoming community. There are lots of activities … ranging from live concerts to games and festive happy hours. The setting at Atria is just lovely … from the charming indoor common sitting areas to the inviting outdoor pool and surrounding desert garden with places to sit and relax. Throughout the pandemic the staff helped us stay in touch through Zoom video conferencing and outdoor visits (and in-apartment visits more recently), and they worked extremely hard to keep the residents safe and comfortable (and entertained). The current leadership team has been particularly impressive in the face of the challenging circumstances that unfolded over the past year … including Executive Director Cheree, Resident Services Director Jennee, Resident Services Coordinator Yorlenis (and Chito), and Engage Life Director Daniel, among the many other fabulous staff! As a family we feel so very grateful for Atria Palm Desert and give it our highest recommendation and endorsement.

Walking into Atria Palm Desert, I am always so happy that we found this assisted living oasis for our mother six years ago. With its beautiful landscaping and open, airy feel, it exudes a feeling of health and life. The staff are lovely— upbeat, sensitive, funny, caring and competent. There is a nice pool, both indoor and outdoor seating for the dining room, views of the mountains, and lots of activities for those who choose to partake. Following a bit of initial resistance about leaving her own home, my mother has been very happy at Atria. She has a range of kind and interesting friends and acquaintances – including an Atria resident and piano concert performer. As her support needs have increased, Atria staff have been there every step of the way to help. Everyone has been fantastic, but right now I am in particular awe of the care provided by her services team, the fun she still has with the activities “engage life” director, and the personalized and thoughtful oversight provided by the extraordinary Atria Palm Desert executive director and her management team.

We went to Atria Palm Desert, and it was very nice. The lady who took us around -- her name was Elaine -- was extremely hospitable and very helpful, but it was not for us. We did not really like the apartment. Everything was clean and lovely. I have nothing to say about them, but we didn't find one that we liked over at the Atria Palm Desert. The facility was very nice, but we did not like the location, even though most seniors would like it. It was right across the street from the senior center. Everyone was hospitable, and it was very clean, but we couldn't find an apartment to our liking. I think they were too small.

My overall experience at Atria Palm Desert was great. It was the best value and the biggest room for the money. It was the best one I looked at. I thought it was a great value, I just haven't completely got it all figured out yet. The staff was great, the whole experience was good, and the amenities were nice. It was in a good location, it was convenient, and it was really good.

My brother moved into Atria Palm Desert. It was easy working with them, they had everything all set up for us, and it's a nice place. The staff is excellent, and I'm getting updates when I need them. It's a one-bedroom apartment, but I think they have studios, and also two-bedrooms. Their three meals are delivered to their rooms, plus snacks and drinks throughout the day. They're doing the best they can, they keep you informed, and stuff, they test the residents three times a day for temperature, they do periodic testing, and they test the staff. They had a couple of cases with the staff, but they haven't had any new cases in over a week, so they keep on top of it.

Atria Palm Desert felt more like a home rather than a hotel or an apartment building. The atmosphere was inviting. The services offered were very good. They're very cooperative. They have a hairdresser, a salon for the ladies, a pool, exercise programs, aquatic exercises, excellent meals, and their clients are able to eat any time of day. They have housecleaning every unit once a week including washing of all bed linens. They have beautiful laundromats or they may pay $10 to get their personal laundry done. The facility was very clean, it's got very nice ambience, and it's well kept up. The landscaping and the grounds were well done. They know all their clientele by name and they're constantly looking out for them. I'm very pleased with everything. The dining room has white linen for dinner and breakfast. They have menus published and given to each residents a week in advance and they have special things for Mother's Day.

Atria Palm Desert is excellent, but the activities are not my favorite. They play a lot of games. The staff is excellent. I have a one-bedroom apartment and it's OK. The food is not good. I felt more comfortable here than the other place I visited. They go on outings. It's absolutely clean and well maintained, but they have very poor amenities. The dining area is good.

I liked Atria Palm Desert a lot. They were really helpful with the insurance. I liked the space for my dad. It was smaller, which was nice, so he could find his way around better. The floor plan worked for us. It was the one place that I took him and he really liked it. He likes seeing movies and he likes music. It's very expensive, but it's covered by his insurance. It's one of the best places. His needs are cared for and it's smaller. He has dementia, so it's really good for him that way. They could just have more services for folks and they could help them out a little more.

My dad used to live in Atria Palm Desert. The people are nice, but almost everything costs extra money. You need help hanging something on the wall? That costs extra. When you go in and check and with the staff, it's more clinical. When you walk in, you don't get a warm and fuzzy feeling. Instead, you feel like you're part of a corporation. The staff was good and very professional, but they did not project warmth.

Atria Palm Desert was absolutely gorgeous, but it was outside of my range. It was beautiful, and it looks more upscale and came with a much more upscale price. It is pricier, and you have to pay for everything. The rooms are lovely and really nice, and the place looks more modern.

We went to Atria Palm Desert yesterday. I liked it because it was a smaller place all on one level. The place had just been remodeled and repainted. It was very nice. They had a lot of open windows and space and a nice garden. The staff was friendly, and the place was clean. The dining area was OK.

Everything was excellent at Atria Palm Desert. They were very attentive and showed us everything. We chose a studio apartment with a bathroom for my friend. The community is beautiful, the apartments very nice. Mom has met some nice residents, and the employees seem to care about them. Lots of activities. The dining room is light and inviting, but it's hit and miss with the food & specials, and if the dining room is short-staffed, no white linens for dinner! Unfortunate for your guests after you describe how nice it looks. Management does not seem to like to deal with issues. The buck gets passed. They cannot keep a driver, so hard for residents to access appointments. A lot of money for just a nice apartment and activitiies.

My parents are moving into Atria Palm Desert. It’s totally updated and spotlessly clean. They have a restaurant instead of a dining hall and a lot of employees. The rooms are one-bedrooms on a single story. There are a lot of inside activities, plus a pool and a barbecue area. It’s like an apartment building with services; it’s just really nice. The staff has been there a long time; I know because I’ve seen them there for years. They’re friendly, professional, and very resident-oriented.

My mother-in-law has been at the Atria a little over a month. She is in a 1-bedroom apartment with a little patio so she can have the dog. Everything seems to be running quite smoothly. The staff is very friendly and seems to know what they’re doing. They have different levels of assistance. They do have quite a few activities that the residents can participate in.

I liked Atria Palm Desert the most among the facilities I had visited. It did not look like an assisted living facility. They had a very heavy classic feel with lots of floral patterns and heavy wooden furniture everywhere. It was certainly bright. One of the things I liked the most about it was the dining style. The staff that accommodated me was very professional, very friendly, and very helpful. I liked her.

To me, Atria Palm Desert was very nice. It was the best because of the cruise ship atmosphere and the restaurant. I loved it. The staff seemed fantastic, and they seemed to have a nice rapport with all the residents. It looked more upscale. I think it was one of the most expensive facilities. People were dressed really nicely. They had a courtyard, and they had some very nice rooms. What stood out to me was the dining room.

Dad is very happy at Atria Palm Desert and so we are very good with that. We like everything about the place. The facility's cleanliness is fabulous. His room has a patio and overlooks a swimming pool, and it's very nice. I have had lunch there and the food is fabulous. The staff are great and they treat my dad really nicely and he likes everybody. It's a very good experience.

I was impressed with the Atria Palm Desert. It was clean, the residents seemed happy and well-cared for, the food smelled delicious, and the little apartments were pretty spacious. I actually liked it a lot. It probably would have been my first choice, but my parents liked the other facility better. It is a very nice place, and I can say nothing wrong about it. Like I said, the residents all seemed happy, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

My mother will be moving in to Atria Palm Desert on September. It is a combination of assisted living and senior living all in one building. She will have a small patio and she can have some plants out around her patio, so she can be outside as well as mix with people who may be not quite so far along with their memory problem. Regarding the staff, I dealt primarily with Kelly and she has been wonderful. She has continued to follow up with me on a regular basis. I also met with the executive director. They were very all very accommodating and very warm. They really helped make it an easy choice.

I really like Atria Palm Desert. I could picture my aunt and her little dog being happy there. It’s a smaller facility. They only have 77 units. They have outdoor patio and it's just one level. All the personnel were very professionally polite and the people who works there most of them have been there for 12 years or 20 years, very good longevity with staff. They have heated arthritic pool with hydrotherapy classes three times a week and they also have a restaurant service for the meals. Their location is also very good; very close to shopping and to restaurants. It's directly across the street of a very nice senior center. The visit was excellent.

I visited Atria Palm Desert and it was first class. My initial reaction was very positive and it was a very attractive facility. It was just not what I wanted because I was happy at home. And besides, my dogs did not have any place to play there.

Thank you for your review. I'm glad to hear that you found our community to be welcoming, and I would like to address your concern about outdoor space for your pets. Our residents who have dogs typically walk them several times a day, enjoying a grassy area along the way for necessity and play. There is also a park nearby to provide a change of scenery. If we can be of further assistance to you now or in the future, please let us know. You can always contact us with any questions or concerns (please be sure to include the Atria community name in the subject line).
