My 96 year old father is currently living at Sequoia Springs. The care is exceptional. Anytime I have to address a problem, they are polite, friendly, and fix it right away. They have activities to help keep them active, and will adjust meals if necessary. Everyone there goes above and beyond to help me navigate my Dads care. From the office staff, to caregivers, med-techs, and housekeeping.Everyone takes great care of my Dad. I would highly recommend this living facility.

I did a tour here, and it was fine. It ended up being bigger than what we wanted to find. We wanted to put her in a smaller place. For a large place, it was fine. The staff were administrative; they weren't medical people. They were mainly there to get new clients, but they did answer all our questions. The rooms all appear to be in very good shape. It appears that there's a chest of drawers, beds, and lamps. They look like they're furnished. I think all the neighborhoods are well kept in Fortuna. It's a rural-residential area, and people take care of their yards. We walked through the dining area. I looked at menus, and I didn't really see anything being prepped at the time. It is very clean and spacious.

My mother is already here. The people are very considerate towards the residents, they make the residents feel comfortable there. She likes it a lot, it's a good community for making residents feel comfortable and at home. The food is good, my mom had a meal while I was there, and she said it was good. The activities are limited right now, but normally, it sounds like they have top notch activities going on, they take them to the community under normal circumstances, but I don't know what kind of activities they have right now. Evidently they must be keeping my mother busy, every time I called, she has not been able to answer because she's busy.

It was a really nice facility. My mom has friends that stayed there before and they thought it was very nice. It had nice accommodations and the caregivers were excellent. You could have a medical bed or whatever else you need. All you need to do is ask.

I visited for my mother. We had lunch there, and it was OK. I did find it a bit cliquey. The little rooms were nice; one had a bedroom and small kitchenette, and another was a studio with a nice bathroom. The staff who toured us around happened to be my old friend, and it was great.

We are looking forward to putting my mom there. I like that they are very caring, very understanding of where were at and how hard it is as a family member to place your loved one in a home. They are very thorough in explaining every to us and explaining their community to us. The dining area is beautiful. You order from a menu and you do not just get what it is that they cook for the day. You open a hard cover menu every meal and choose off of that menu. They have a choice of what they like and we appreciate that she will be able to choose what she wants to eat.

The staff was very helpful. I didn't like that the rooms were very small. The ones I've toured were all very clean and have recently been recarpeted. I did like their dining facilities and the fact that snacks are available 24/7. I also didn't like the look and feel of the memory care unit. The people working there were very friendly. They have a whole calendar of activities. I think they played Bingo a couple of times a week. One time someone came in and did something with the residents and they also have outside trips. I know a resident who was living there for a several years and she was very happy.

I was very impressed. It was a very good facility. I liked the way the people interact with each other. I liked the staff there, especially the lady who was in charged with the memory care unit. The problem there was that my mother kind of fell in between needing to be in the memory care center or in the regular part of it. So, I spent much time in their memory care center and I didn't think that it would be a good place for my mom because she is not that far gone. But then she couldn't get to the regular part because they don't attend to some of her needs. It's a very social place and I do like that but may be too social for my mother. It just didn't fit her in the stage where she is at. The memory care unit there was no interaction among the patients and the other side there was a lot of interaction so. It doesn't help anybody who falls between them.
