My dad is a resident of Karlton Residential Center. They communicate rather well, they text me all the time with updates that let me know how he's doing. Because of COVID, the visitations are limited. But their overall communication skills are key, and it's what I like about it. They're just really quite accommodating. They have plenty of staff, but because of COVID, we're only allowed to visit outside on the patio. What I've seen is that they're all very pleasant, receptive, and had great interactions with the residents. The facility itself is clean. They have activities, but because of COVID, I don't know what they have now versus what they used to have. They do activities now with the residents, but they used to have a lot more people coming in, like adult education type of people coming in. They've had some exercise classes, singing classes, and art-- like creative painting classes. They have an outside patio, and an area where residents can walk, and they have two courtyards.

I toured Karlton Residential Care Center. It's not as big as the other location. It's more personal. It was clean. They have activities, too, and that's one thing I like. The staff was very helpful. They have a beauty salon, an activity room, and a gym.

We found the Karlton Residential Care Center at the last minute because that same day, we had to take my sister to the emergency room. We went the following day to them, and we met the lady which gave us a tour of the facility. It was very clean. There was a lot of staff, and they were polite and friendly. We decided to keep my sister there because they have full-time staff. They had a nurse on duty, and it was a great environment for my sister to be in. My sister does have Dementia and Alzheimer's, and they're just very caring people. They know how to deal with all that. It's clean, and the person in charge always keeps me updated on how my sister is doing. She's very considerate, even if my sister gets up. Just recently, even if my sister gets a birthday card in the mail, she will send me a text saying that they received a birthday card or a few birthday cards, which is great. I met the other one that deals a lot with my sister; her name is Sylvia. They are all very polite, very caring. When you go in, they take your temperature. They make sure that you're wearing a mask, not only for your protection but for the staff and for the people that are living there. I noticed that they play bingo with people. Nowadays I know that with any type of assisted living or home, everything is very expensive. This for me was expensive, but I'm working with it. It would be right along in line with everybody else. When I was looking around, everything was in the same kind of price range.

We moved my mother-in-law in to Karlton Residential Center, and we're very pleased. She loves it there. Everybody's so nice, very caring, and watchful. I get a full report anytime we call. Her apartment is very nice. They play cards and other games. She liked one particular game called May I, which they never played there before. The director learned that she likes to play that and looked it up, so my mother-in-law could play with them. They're very accommodating.

Karlton Residential Care Center was very clean but too much of a hospital atmosphere for our taste for my mother. The administrator was fabulous, very helpful, and caring.

I love Karlton Residential Care Center. The staff is very caring and considerate, takes very good care of the people who are there. The facility is extremely clean. There's no carpet. It's awesome. They all have showers everyday and they clean their beds everyday. They have lots of activities constantly. They don't encourage their patients to be in their rooms except for at night time. I haven't personally eaten there but a couple of my mom's friends have eaten there and they said the food was good. I see it once she's eating it. It looks good.
