Ivy Park at La Palma is a beautiful place. All the workers there are kind. They don't have a big turnover of employees. It's the same ones that were there a few years ago when my sister moved in. They're all very kind and helpful to her. They have a lot of residents and they have activities all day long. They played bingo and other kinds of games and she's involved in all of them. They have a beautiful living room area with a big TV and lots of comfortable seating. They have a delicious meal. They have a little bistro area where all day long they've got hot coffee and a big container of fresh water with cucumbers usually in it or some kind of fruit to make it a little flavorful. They have cookies and a big popcorn machine where they make popcorn every day. There's a relaxing area there that has snacks and stuff. Then they have a game room where they have crafts for people who are interested in that. They have a library with tables for jigsaw puzzles to work on (they've always got one going on there) and lots of books on the shelves. They have a computer for any resident who wants to use it. They have a kind of nursing station where they take care of the meds and everything. They're real good about checking on the residents to see how they're doing with their health. Yesterday, they called and told me that they just tested my sister for COVID and she has it. She's had a runny nose for a few days, so they checked her. They have a bus that takes them on rides and little trips. The ones who can, are taken shopping. They take them on long scenic drives in that bus and my sister loves that. They have exercise and just a number of fun things to do. They do the laundry for everybody. My sister has a little studio apartment and she can still make her own coffee every morning. She's got a refrigerator, cabinets, and a big bathroom. Three times a week, they help her with her shower. At night, when she forgets to put her hearing aids in the charger, they go in and help her to remember to do that. So, they have very good care there. I'm so pleased with it. I wouldn't mind living there myself. Another convenience is there's a Wal-Mart neighborhood market right across the street. Also, I've eaten over there and I always enjoy the food.

Our experience was good touring Ivy Park at La Palma. The person who I saw was very helpful. She could answer my questions. The facility looked clean. It's a good size. There were people around. I think that day, entertainment was already in there, like a singalong thing going on, so all those things were good. The room was clean and tidy. Overall, the facility seemed great. It's not cheap. If I had to do something like that and I could afford it, I would. The staff seemed nice, and the things that they provide seemed pretty good. They had different methods of memory care things, and stations for doing different kinds of things. All of these things I thought were very, very good. The staff members were very helpful and very nice. They're very good at answering my questions. And the place was immaculate.

I liked the people in Ivy Park at La Palma, and the whole place. When we walked around, everybody looked happy. Nobody looked like they were bored or not enjoying themselves. It's like somebody was helping out everybody to make them feel better. It just looked very pleasant that way. Mom is in the memory care. She has a private apartment that's very nice. It's got a big window, which was the thing we liked best, because she loved her windows at home. She'd stand in front of it a lot. It's very roomy. I was very pleased with it. They have different areas with the TVs on, and areas where they just have music playing. They have snack rooms for them to just sit at a table with themselves, or friends, and eat something. I went over there yesterday, and that's what Mom was doing. She was sitting at a table with two other women and two men, and they were all having coffee and having an early lunch. I have not tried the food myself, but I watched them eat, and it looked really good. She had a half of a grilled tuna sandwich and a bunch of cut up fruit, like watermelon and cantaloupe, and it looked very appetizing. The staff was all very nice. I haven't had a problem with anyone and I've talked to probably four or five of them. The activities are very good. I know with memory care they're a little more limited, but Mom had three or four of these little bracelets that was like stretchy fabric or elastic fabric so that it went over her wrist, and they had pretty little balls and stuff on them. They were lovely and she had made them there. Their price is maybe a little bit higher but for what they offered and just everything. It was worth every penny.

I've moved my mom here. It's clean, the nurses are attentive, and the staff is helpful for the most part. There are a lot of activities like a knitting club and puzzle club.

It was a beautiful facility. It had a good atmosphere, and it was a place I would love to visit. The staff member during the visit was great and informative. The dining area was very nice and felt like a nice restaurant. There was someone playing the piano when I was there, and they had arts and crafts. They make you breakfast if you go down and ask for it.

It is a little old, but it’s a wonderful community with a lot of activities and a large, clean dining area that has a nice menu. They have a smaller section for Alzheimer’s patients with their own kitchen and schedules, which also looked very nice. I was very impressed. It was like a five-star resort.

My aunt will be moving in this weekend. It is very nice, and the staff is very warm and pleasant. The apartment is beautiful. She has a one-bedroom suite, so it has a bedroom and a living room. They have all kinds of activities. It is extremely clean, and very secure.

My cousin found them for my aunt, and they have embraced her. She seemed to have a lovely, caring, and very nice facility, I’m very happy she is there. She seems safe, well-cared for and that is really important to us. The staff cares so much for the residents, know all of the people, and are generally very nice. I’m very pleased that she is there and that helps a lot. It’s a difficult transition for anyone and it’s not easy, but she is safe and they’re attentive. The people that I’ve met that are dealing with her have genuinely been careful, so in that respect, I’m very pleased. The facility is small but lovely and clean. She has a beautiful room, clean, lovely, lots of lights, and it is very homey.

It was okay. Clean, really nice area. People were very friendly. I really enjoyed it, too. It’s right by the hospital. I live right off of La Palma and it’s probably maybe 2 ½ miles down the street. They would have been closer for me. They have a little patio which was nice. I just didn’t think he needed that anymore. I wanted him in a more enclosed area.
