Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program(909) 256-8369HICAP counselors provide one-on-one over-the-phone advice, information and guidance for Medicare-eligible seniors to help them make informed decisions regarding their health insurance coverage. Through this program, seniors can find out what Medicare covers and determine whether Medicare Advantage or a Medigap plan would save them money on medical and residential care costs.
Inland Counties Legal Services(951) 368-2555Inland Counties Legal Services provides free civil legal services to those aged 60 and over. Its licensed legal professionals can help older adults understand assisted living contracts and payment obligations. They can also help seniors apply for public benefits that may cover assisted living services and resolve issues related to abuse, neglect and exploitation.
San Bernardino County Veterans Affairs(866) 472-8387San Bernardino County’s Veterans Affairs division provides free benefits counseling to help qualifying individuals access VA programs that may help cover assisted living. The office can also help veterans obtain community-based services, such as counseling and emergency financial assistance.
Ontario Senior Center(909) 395-2021The Ontario Senior Center has programs, activities and classes for seniors in the community. At this location, members participate in programs like Active Seniors on the Go, walking clubs, birthday and holiday celebrations and knitting and crochet clubs.
