We chose The Clearspring for my father because it's close to where he lived. They've been very good, very cooperative and helpful. He's not had any complaints about the food, and he's been very complimentary. The place seems very clean and nice. I was over there this weekend, and I'm satisfied. It's close to his house, right in the middle of town, so it worked out well for him.

I went to The Clearspring. I didn't like the fact that the location of the apartment would be on the third floor. I just want to be on the ground floor. That kind of puts it at the bottom of the places that I've looked at. They have two bedrooms, one bedroom one bath, and two bedrooms two baths. They are in the process of renovating each of those, so they are extremely open to addressing the rooms to accommodate you. I just felt like I was walking into a hotel more than just into a community of apartments.

My 61-year-old brother moved into a studio apartment at The Clearspring a little over a year-and-a- half ago due to increased mobility difficulties after the loss of a leg. It has been a very beneficial experience for him personally. For the rest of the family, it has been a blessing as well, especially to know that he now has help when and if he needs it and nutritious meals regularly. The facility is very clean (someone cleans his room weekly, or as needed); it is spacious and has a garden off the lovely dining area where residents can gather for meals. If you can’t make it to the dining room, they will bring your food to your room. The food is great! I have eaten lunch there with my brother on three occasions when I drove up from Louisiana for a visit before the pandemic struck. My brother’s apartment has a lot of space for storage of clothing, towels and bedding, and plenty of room to move around (and he navigates with a scooter). Plus, this place is pet friendly: the most important feature was this one for my brother, because he has been inseparable from his dog. They also have a new air-conditioning and heating system, which keeps the facility very comfortable. Each floor has its own laundry room, with washer, dryer, folding table, ironing board, and utility sink. I helped my brother to do his laundry, even though it is easy for him to do it himself, with this set-up. Hallways leading to this room and up to the elevators are carpeted and have hand rails to keep residents safe from falls. What else can I tell you about this great place to live? The Director and Staff are very caring and supportive. They reach out to family members if they need to. They have created a very family-like atmosphere with their residents. The facility also has a huge communal living room for visiting with guests and watching tv on a big screen in comfortable chairs and sofas. This room and the main entranceway and halls are also very beautifully decorated, changing with the different themes of holidays. Signs are up in prominent places to remind residents of weekly bingo and other games, birthdays, outings in the vans that they have planned to local parks, the mall, church, or the grocery store, and special celebrations like their annual Halloween party and Valentine’s Day celebration. At the Valentine’s Day party last year, my brother was chosen “King.” He sent us a picture, seated on his “throne,” with another resident chosen as his “Queen.” He was sporting a comical grin and a special “King Sash” and fake mustache that they had given him for the occasion…definitely they had some fun! A couple of other features I forgot about are the community room with a pool table and a tv, which my brother frequents, and also where residents can meet with guests who may want to hold a special family birthday party for the resident, and the like. They also have an exercise room and a sheltered smoking area outside for those who have not managed to kick the habit over the years. It is located across the big breezeway in front of the entrance and has tables and chairs. It is very accessible, but does not cause any problem for the other residents in the otherwise smoke-free facility. The Clearspring is located in a residential area of downtown Hot Springs, so it is close to everything. It is very affordable. My brother is a retired school teacher (that is…he is definitely not rich!). I highly recommend it for yourself or a loved one. Tell them "Seadog" sent you. All in all, it is a great place to live!

I'm very happy with Crown Trace Villa. The staff is fabulous, and the people are friendly and outgoing. There are not a lot of activities, but there's enough to keep it interesting. The food is good and the price is right. I have a lovely deluxe studio apartment which is very spacious with lots of light. They provide transportation for medical appointments, local stores, and the church.

Everybody was nice at Crown Trace Villa, but it needed so much updating, and the rooms were really small. It was an older facility. The staff was wonderful. wasn’t impressed with the place. I didn't see many residents, but the ones I saw looked very bored.

I visited Crown Trace Villa a number of times to visit my sister that lives there. The staff is always friendly and they treat my sister like family. I have had lunch on a few different occasions there. I love Fridays Lunch because it is Fried Catfish or Fried Shrimp with all the fixings. The building is always very clean and decorated for the different seasons. I stay and participate in activities with my sister sometimes. Most recently I did a craft with her and we made door wreaths. I was concerned with my sister needing to move to an Assisted Living Facility due to her needing help lately. I talked with the manager there and she informed me about care services offered thru a company that is contracted with Crown Trace Villa. I am happy that she can stay at home and still receive the additional services she is needing. I would recommend Crown Trace Villa to all my family and friends. I have a peace of mind that my sister is happy and well taken care of.

Crown Trace Villa was very beautiful outside. The grounds were beautiful, but it wasn’t homey.
