I really felt blessed to have found this facility for my mom. It's small, family-based and not at all "institutional". The grandkids were there to keep my mom company, which she delighted in, the caregivers were knowledgeable and kind, the food good, and she even had her dog there, also well taken care of. A piano was in the living room, with games to play, and movies to watch, with a beautiful backyard for fresh air. Thank you.

No activities to speak of. Bugs crawling on residents. Residents looked in need of showers and unkept. Bathrooms were both dirty. Food left alot to be desired, appeared mostly frozen foods.

The staff is extremely limited and they do not prepare healthy homemade meals for residents. I would not recommend this place for your loved one.

This is a review for people that are considering putting a loved one in a home that has dementia. Please consider how you have been taking care of them and compare the care. If it has been one on one monitoring consider that more than anything. Assisted living may not be the one on one care your loved one needs. If your loved one as most dementia starts to have issues dealing with anger, do not let the term "lockdown facility" stop you from considering another place. In the end, you must consider the environment of different people for dementia, rather than if the place is nice and clean.

Heavenly Acres only has ten people and it's a family-run operation. Everybody seems to be knowledgeable in what they're doing, and very caring. I'd rate them very high. They have both single private rooms, and shared bedrooms. Their activities are not like those in the bigger places, but they have get-togethers, and they're inviting everybody over for Thanksgiving. The staff is very good, we have no problems or complaints. Their meals are monitored, and nurses and dieticians come in periodically to check on them. The whole place is very clean, and the price is comparable to assisted living.

Heavenly Acres was more like a home. There were only about ten residents. It was very clean and homey. The person who assisted me was very informative. The dining area had a large table with several chairs around it. She said they had some activities, but they weren't going on at the time we were there.

I highly recommend this facility, it has the feeling of home and the care is very attentive to the residents. I'm really pleased to know people still care for the elderly.

Terrible management, at times I would visit & the staff was very unorganized. My family member complained of being ignored & that the care givers were not very polite unless I was around. Was very disappointed with the service & staff.

The first thing you will notice about the home, is the lovely decor and how clean it is. No ugly smells. The best part is the family loving care the residents receive. My Mom was always clean, pampered with nail polish and make up and dressed appropriately. All the caregivers are loving and educated people on the care of memory loss patients.
