We moved my relative to The Inn at Freedom Plaza and we've been very happy with the facility. She's having a little trouble adapting, but that's on her. Everyone has been very nice, very helpful, and working well with her and with us. She got a very nice room. There's a living room area with a small kitchen in the corner. No stove, but there's a microwave, a sink, and a little refrigerator. Then we put a full-size bed in there, and there's plenty of room to walk around it with the dresser. She's got a nice big bathroom with a walk-in shower. They have a lot of activities. They have bingo, sing-alongs, afternoon talk, tea and coffee, and a movie every afternoon in their theater area. So, there's certainly plenty to do there. They have a beauty shop, so they have pretty much everything she needs. Some places might have a lot more elegant types of activities going on, but for what she needs, it's perfect. Along with the monthly rent, it includes three meals a day and there's a dining room where she can go for her meals. They also have a deli if you don't want to go to the main dining room where you could go and get a sandwich. I haven't had the chance to try the food, plus she's a very picky eater, but I've talked to other residents there and they said for the most part, the food is good. I haven't seen any issues with maintenance as well. The facility is very, very nice. I think it's a very good place.

Inn at Freedom Plaza had a lot of doctors and all kinds of programs. Assisted living seemed to be made up of people that needed physical therapy. They really did a lot of physical therapy and had a spacious memory care unit. The staff was very nice and helpful. I really liked them.

My mom is currently at The Inn at Freedom Plaza. Mom has been there for almost a year now. They just had a change of management this month. I don't like how the meals are set up there. They insist that their residents eat at a certain time and that they sit at certain tables. Also the staff just seems cold and not as happy to me. I don't like when my mom goes out to exercises, which is already an effort for her to do, but sometimes nobody else would show up. It also seems that mom would call me all the time and say that she went down to exercise but the instructors themselves didn't show up. With regards to accommodation, her room isn't very big enough. It is just small for her. However, it does have a great closet and great bathroom and those are two pluses for this place.
