My husband moved into Adobe Country Gables. It is very good. They take care of my husband. I don't have any complaints as far as his care. My only concern is that only two people work there; however, they are very good. My husband's room is very small. The only complaint I have is that there is a man who watches TV in the living room and turns it up too loud. I have complained to them. I often have to close my husband's door because it's so loud. Once a week, they have a chef come in and cook. The food is very good. They don't have any kind of activities. It is a really beautiful area. I have a good rapport with the owner and the niece, which means everything. They are always very gracious and hospitable. It's just like a big old home.

We toured Adobe Country Gables. It's a beautiful, massive house. It's a regular home, but it's big. It's a mansion. It's like eight bedrooms. It's very well put together. That wasn't the selling point. The selling point was the owner. The guy that owns the place, was so good with the people that live there. He has a great setup. He's been doing this since he was a kid. He's very good. He knows exactly what he's doing. He has no qualms about any of the jobs that need to be done. He has little routines that they do. He'll take certain ones out to do certain things and the other ones to do other things. He's very structured that way and they like him very much. There is like one little tiny closet in a room that would be perfect for somebody who was getting arrested or something, but the rest of the rooms were beautiful, they were big, they had big windows and interiors, bright colored ceilings, and it was fabulous. I loved the place.

We saw Adobe Country Gables. We saw a lot of people just sitting around not doing a whole lot but watching TV. But the lady staff seemed very nice. She said that they had times during the day when they tried to involve the patients in group activities like playing cards and bingo and stuff like that. It was nice and clean. There, my sister could have a private or a shared room depending on what level we decided to pay for. The staff showed us where they had the cabinet where they kept the medications put away. We didn't see a lot of staff, we mostly talked to the lady who was in charge, but she was very open and caring and answered our questions very well. We had a fairly good impression of her, her care, and her management of the place. The place was very clean and well taken care of.

I loved Adobe Country Gables, but my son didn't want my mom sharing a bathroom with somebody. I loved it but my son wanted her to have her own apartment. It's a group home. There's somebody that's there 24 hours a day with you. It was fantastic in there. Very bubbly and very happy-go-lucky type of attitude there. But my son didn't want my mom in a group home. The staff was great. I couldn't see any room because people were sleeping in it. But there was a lady in a open room, and I thought it was nice and comfy in there. The dining was a big table that people sat around like a family sit-down or something like that, which was fine. The atmosphere was great.

The tour at Adobe Country Gables was fine. The place was clean. Everything was good. The staff was very personable, nice, and informative. They showed me a couple of rooms. They were medium-sized, and some were large rooms. They said that the residents could pick what food they wanted. They had an outside porch and a barbecue area. They had different activities. They have a doctor who comes in for care. The living atmosphere was very good.

Everything about Adobe Country Gables was so organized and friendly for the residents. They looked happy and content. The whole place was just organized so well for memory care. Their rooms are just the right size with access to the rest of the home and activities. There's a large eating area, a large living room with comfortable furniture, and a large backyard with a covered patio for them. I also looked at the menu, and it was very extensive and perfect for my husband.

My dad is moving into Adobe Country Gables. It was the closest to family, but it was also one of the only places that he could have his own room. It was really nice and was just a combination of everything working out pretty much. There was only one person that I had talked to. He was nice, answered all my questions, and answered the phone when I called. I called two or three times after and he had no issues answering the phone or anything like that. When we showed up, most of the residents were actually in the living room watching the Olympics, which I thought was pretty cool. And then from their brochure, it says they have different activities. The stuff in the backyard was extremely nice and big. He said that they do barbecues, too.

We visited Adobe Country Gables, and that was immaculately clean. I was just kind of turned off because the staff wanted to talk about how other places do it, and I don't want to hear about other places, I wanted to know about them. It was a very nice home, beautiful, and I loved it. It was clean, and the people were very nice. My mom talked to one of the clients, and I talked to the guy, and from what he was saying, he was the owner, and he's been doing it for 14 years. But like I said, he was telling me how other houses do it. Well, that's the only thing that put me off about it; he was not telling me more about his house, but he was very nice. There were no smells. There were four or five clients sitting in the living room watching TV.

My husband is at Adobe Country Gables. The owner is so considerate, warm, and runs his house like a home. He said, "The people here are like our family. We even have little birthday parties." So this is more of a family kind of setting, which is unusual, and I wanted my husband in a small facility like Adobe Country Gables, not a large one. Their nurses are cheerful and outgoing. Everybody is welcome to go there at any time during the day. You don't have to make an appointment to come and see them, which is good. I like that. My husband was excited about the food yesterday. They had homemade stuffed green peppers for lunch, and he was very happy with it. They have a big outdoor area with full grass, palm trees, and chairs. It's really like a home. Also, my house is just ten blocks from this community, so I know the neighborhood. The owner said he's had this facility for years, and he seems very concerned and considerate to what your needs are.

My experience with Adobe Country Gables wasn't the greatest. There's only one shared room available with a man, and my mother did not want to share a room with a man. There was only one care provider for all nine people. It smelled like urine when I walked in the house. It was not a very great experience. The rooms didn't even have closets. There was only one other female in the facility; the rest were all men. I could see urine on the bed. Again, I didn't like the fact that there was only one caregiver for all the people. They had no care for wanderers. They didn't have what my mother needed for dementia care. It looked like a regular house. Some of the residents were helping with the basic chores. It was clean, I guess, except for the urine in the bed that you could physically see, and the smell of the urine when I walked in the house. It was very unpleasant. I was not invited to eat the food, and with COVID, I had my masks on. None of the patients had masks on. They were all unmasked, and all walking around. The care provider did not have a mask on. They didn't check my temperature; they didn't do anything.

This is a private home facility. The house and grounds are maintained. They have trees amd shrubs. The rooms are private and semi-private rooms. All are handicapped equipped. They do all laundry and housekeeping. They do home cooking on a menu schedule. The food is ok. They have 10 residents. They have some doctors who come in. The caregivers are all certified. They do not transport. They do in house activities as movies, bingo, and games. They have parties for birthdays. Theyn rely on family to take residents out. I found the staff rather distant and not forthcoming with information. When calling to get directions and some information the gentleman hung up on me and was reluctant to answer questions. When visiting the staff was not very friendly and the atmosphere not homey.
