My dad is at Auberge at Peoria, and they seem to have good people there. The staff is very caring and is always there to help the residents. There are single and companion rooms with a bathroom. It's just a small space, but it's OK for an individual's needs. Dad has been very comfortable there. He's been down at the community area and he feels part of the place. They have good entertainment coordinators during the week. They have different activities for the residents even on weekends. They have an exercise room, outdoor spaces like a barbecue area, and places to walk around with pleasant surroundings.

The facility was clean always. The staff was incredibly caring and gave each resident support, hugs, talks. I was really impressed how the residents responded. They have activities, monthly events. The cleaning staff, the maintainence men and even the bus driver knew each resident and called them by name. The administrators were easy to work with and very caring. If help was needed the got right in and helped.

My mom took a respite here. It was wonderful. When we first came in, we felt very welcome. It was a beautiful facility. The furniture and everything was very tasteful. The people greeted us and the ones that we had spoken to on the phone were there. They took us to my mother’s room, and they had a sign on the door “Welcome Kay” and they had her name plate on the door. The room was beautiful and very adequate with walk-in shower, a nice area where she could hang her clothes up, a bed and a night stand. What was nice about it was they had three puppies that were so friendly; they were wellness dogs. That really warmed my heart. They had meals, menus and a chef. They dispensed her meds, and did her laundry. I would recommend it to anybody. It was upscale and it was lovely. They had dances and singing, too. They had lots of activities for them.

They specialize in different levels of memory care. The rooms were small with enough room for a bed and a chair to fit. They encourage that you get a companion room so that you have a partner in the room.

The staff was very friendly. The rooms were very nice. They have lots of activities. If we could afford this, this would have been our number one choice.
