My experience with this facility was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, the priority seemed to be extracting money rather than providing adequate healthcare for my mother, who tragically passed away after only 6 days under their care. Prior to her arrival, my mother's health was improving, but upon entering the facility, her condition rapidly deteriorated. Despite my frequent visits and pointing out her edema that started upon arrival to the staff, they didn't seem to care enough to take action. The journey began when my mother, previously living independently, had a series of falls resulting in hospitalization and the need for neck surgery. After a positive recovery period at Rehabilitation, she was unable to return home or transition to this group home. Following a recommendation, we chose this group home. Initially, the staff appeared friendly, and the facility appeared well-maintained. However, it became evident that profit outweighed service and empathy as they demanded a significant sum upfront for her stay ($4000 for 6 days). Upon arrival, my mother's health took a sharp downturn. She experienced discomfort due to the constant noise and, according to what she told me during my frequent visits, was subjected to negligent care during basic tasks like bathing and being moved gently. Physical symptoms worsened, including severe edema, which the main nurse dismissed as "normal post-surgery". Despite my concerns, her condition continued to deteriorate rapidly with no one on staff taking action to resolve. Tragically, my mother's health deteriorated to the point where she had to be rushed to the ER per my instruction, where she passed away nine hours later. I firmly believe that the inadequate care she received here directly contributed to her premature passing. The lack of proper care, communication, and empathy makes it impossible for me to recommend this facility to anyone seeking quality care for their loved ones.

D & L Adult Care Home was a very nice facility. The people were nice. The room was great. It had everything you needed. We didn't talk about price or anything because they don't do short-term care. They had just finished eating lunch, actually, so they were getting everybody away from the table. I just looked at the one available room and it was a very good layout. It's a very clean and very nice place. The staff all said hi. They were all very nice and they looked like they were taking good care of the people. I didn't look outside. The living room and the dining room were very nice. They had a Christmas tree up and decorated already.

My mother was in D&L Adult Care Home for almost 9 years. They took such good care of her and treated her as if she was a member of their family. The last four years my mother was completely bedridden and she had no bedsores or pressure spots on her. There was never a hospital smell to the home. My mother always enjoyed the home cooked meals. I would recommend D&L Adult Care Home without reservations..

I have already found a small residential place for my mom called D&L residential care assisted living. I chose the place for mom because it’s small, only six clients. They don’t get lost, and she has a better response to that environment. They have an exercise program five days a week, a guitar player everyday, and they have bingo one day a week. Essentially it’s pretty much what she was getting. She remembers the staff and gets to recognize them. She has got fairly advanced problems, and she is 95. In a small place, she sees the same few faces, and she can at least recognize them as opposed to bigger places. They have an on-site chef, somebody is there 24/7, and there is transportation if needed. Basically, the hairdresser comes in, therapist comes in, and doctors visit there. They have everything that great big facilities have except they don’t have an on-site dentist.

My mother and I placed our aunt/Great aunt with Lucy and staff at D and L adult care home about a year ago. Though we only expected her to be there a month or two, considering her advanced age and health condition, under their expert care she lived another year. Lucy, John, Simona, and staff far surpassed our expectations. Their home is beautiful and spotless, and care there is attentive, loving, and prompt. I was most impressed with their personally cooked and baked homemade meals that left even our sometimes picky Aunt impressed :) I could not more strongly recommend D and L adult care home for your short and long-term family needs.

D&L Adult Care Home is a great place. I think it is professionally decorated. It is a regular house with nine bedrooms. It is not crowded. There are only eight residents. She has her own bedroom with her own roll-in shower, which is wheelchair accessible. The staff is wonderful. They are very caring and very giving. They really take good care of her. If she's having a bad day, they make sure she all the care she needs. They feed her and change her. Every time I go there, she's clean and happy. They treat her like a queen. They have activities like bingo, fictionary and trivia. They try to keep their mind working. They get her out of her wheel chair and they walk her with a walker a couple of times a day to make sure that she doesn't just sit. They feed them homemade soups and pies. They have salad in every meal and everything is very well balanced.

I've placed my mother in D and L Adult Care and we're very happy with it. It's a small home and the residents are very well taken care of. They get them up all the time instead of just laying them on the bed. They go to breakfast, and lunch, and dinner at the table as well as games and things. The staff treats them like family and they're very good.
