My mom moved to Our House Senior Living - Wisconsin Rapids Assisted Care. It's a fairly small facility all on one level. I think they only have about 22 rooms, which is fine. It was nice, well-kept, and clean. The staff was very friendly. They attend to my mom's needs. They do activities throughout the day. I know they have a lot of activities. They even sent us a list of a calendar of what they will be doing from bingo to exercising, quite a myriad of different things. I think that all assisted living is too expensive, but this one is very comparable, possibly even a little more reasonable than some of the others.

My mother has already moved to Our House Senior Living - Wisconsin Rapids Assisted Care. I really enjoyed the community, the staff, the surroundings, the food, and the atmosphere. She's not really memory care, but they're able to give her lots of reminders and help. It's a 1-level facility. The dining room and gathering spaces are in the middle, and then the rooms and apartments are to the left and right. The outside appearance is very friendly with flowers, trees, and bushes. Its brick, so it's very attractive. The staff that I met was very outgoing and curious of what mom's likes and dislikes are. They cater to specific people. It's a smaler faciilty, so they're able to. I'm very pleased with it, and that they're very caring and concerned. The food is very good, and they have encouraged family members to eat with them. They have a set lunch and set dinner time. For breakfast, it's kind of any time in the morning. There's no set time for breakfast. You can either eat at 6:00 in the morning or 10:00 in the morning, but the lunch is always at noon and supper is always at 5:00. They do arts and crafts, bingo, Yahtzee, cards, board games and outside activities (like gardening). Her room has a bathroom and a sink, but we can make it anything we want. Her room is just the right size. It's not too big nor too small, but it's decorated however we want to do it. We have lots of pictures of family, and it's very homey.

Wisconsin Rapids has a smaller tone, and the people are friendly overall. The staff was very friendly and answered our questions immediately. They did their job, and everybody seemed to want to be there.
