My mother is in Killarney Kourt. We chose this place because we thought that it would work better for her, and she liked it. She likes the food as well. We had one good meal there. They have exercise and card games.

Killarney Kourt was the best one that we liked because we were invited there for dinner. We sat in the dining room and the dinner that was served was delicious. The apartment we've seen was very, very good, too. That was a 5 in every department. It was the best because they had everything that we wanted and I think of the three that we've seen, that would've been the one that we would've picked to live at. It's independent living, but if we were to need further help, they had assisted living also. They have a salon, a chapel, a community room, an exercise room, and a library. They showed us the storage sheds and they showed us where the underground parking was. They have a beautiful outdoor space that's close to a greenhouse. There are areas there that we could walk around to. That was by far the most beautiful of all the three facilities that we've seen. When we made the appointment, they asked us to come at that time, so that they would serve us their dinner and it was excellent. We were hoping to possibly move there but they have nothing open right now. We're on a waiting list there.

We were not very impressed with Killarney Kourt. The rooms were very small. It looked very worn and some of the carpeting was shabby. They only had two tiers, one where you could only have lunch or dinner, and the other you could have lunch and dinner. We were there around noon. They had three tables for lunch with one person at each table, and that was it. The menus just did not appeal to what we wanted. The girl must have been new because there were a lot of questions that we asked that she didn't have the answers to.

I visited Killarney Kourt and the only problem I had is that I have to get to the VA pickup point and they have no way of getting me there. The person that gave the tour was not informed as much as she should have been. Rachel, the person who called, was more enthusiastic. They didn't realize I was supposed to have a free dinner. She needs more training. She never showed me anything because I wanted a room with a patio and she only showed me three rooms that had no patios and two of them were under construction. The 2-bedroom she showed me that I liked is not going to be available. I liked the layout because it's right next to Milaegers, which is a garden center. They need to do work on their landscaping around the front because it looked like it hadn't been done for a while. I liked the location. I liked the fact that when you move in, you're not going to move again. The kitchen staff went out of their way to be accommodating. The food was excellent. I don't like salmon, but she now I like it. They needed more cleanup. The rooms were spacious, even the 1-bedroom.

Killarney Kourt is very good. The staff seemed to be very attentive, and they have meals onsite for her. It seems to be working good so far. She came to like the food, and she interacts with the staff fairly well. Everything looked good. I like the location because it seems to be in a nice area. The staff seems to be understanding of her condition, so I think it is a positive response there

Killarney Kourt had everything that I was looking for. It was five minutes from my son. The cleanliness was beyond my expectations. They offered many activities that I was interested in. They worked with another community that was about 20 miles away in Kenosha, and they joined them for many of their activities, giving an opportunity to meet more people my age, and I liked that. They had an exercise program and a beautiful workout room. Many services where you intermingle with the other residents, which I liked. They had planned activities nearly every day. The staff was extremely cooperative, courteous, and respectful. They were great.

We went to Killarney Kourt but they didn't have an opening. The people that run the place were very nice. I was impressed just how nice they were. They did a pretty good job there. However, the facility was not bright. Their dining area was nice but it was kind of dark in there. They need to clean their carpets or they need new carpeting. The facility itself was a nice place and their decorations were okay, but for what it would cost to live there, it should be updated a little bit. Regarding activities, I think they have the same activities as with the other facility but they're not physical activities. They did have card games and they did a lot where they take residents to places.

My mother has been a resident for over 5 years, before the facility began to accept residents in need of daily support. Although listed as an "assisted living facility" on-line, Killarney Kourt does a substandard job of supervising its many residents who are in need of daily support. Over the course of the past six years, I have witness a noticeable decline in the cleanliness, general atmosphere, resident satisfaction and dedication and interest of office staff. In addition, residents are now allowed to own pets. For the majority of those who own dogs, the owners do not have the ability to control their pets. For example non-stop barking is tolerated by office staff and I have witnessed small amounts of dog feces on steps between floors and in common areas. Nighttime availability of onsite office personnel who would need to handle possible emergencies is nonexistent. If the facility was what it has become when my mother was investigating senior housing, she would not have chosen Killarney Kourt. My mother (who is an independent living resident), my siblings and I are in agreement regarding dissatisfaction with Killarney Kourt.
