I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The staff is so nice. They are really like our family. Cecelia Place always passes what our family considers "the smell test", they keep moms room clean, neat and smelling fresh. The rooms are spacious, bigger than any room we have ever seen. The food is awesome. The have a Chef who really cares about what he serves. The activity calendar is full but sadly, not too many people attend them. They have a beautiful backyard, with nice tables, umbrellas and a lovely garden. If you are looking for comfort with an affordable price, this is the place to be!

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I rarely saw the same staff members twice. If I did, they appeared exhausted, burned out, and upset. Most times, it was difficult to find anyone at all. Hallways poorly lit, room was FILTHY. My mom wore Depends, and it seemed like they rarely helped her change them. If they did, it was disposed of in the kitchen wastebasket, and her entire apartment smelled like old urine. We cleaned up feces ourselves. When we moved her, the shadows on the carpet and the stains made it appear that the carpet was rarely, if ever was cleaned. The plethora of promised group activities, and services like the Beauty Shop was spotty to non existent. Communication was horrible. The administrator was rarely on site, and rarely returned phone calls. Billing was inaccurate, and inconsistent. We moved my mom to another facility across town (similar cost). Now she appears clean and well cared for. Her hair is done, and her clothes are clean. She is THRIVING. The staff is always around, seems happy, and knows us by name. If you care about your loved one, do your homework, and beware of Cecilia Place.

Beautiful building. Large apartments and nice garden/patio area. Everything is kept up nicely. Always clean and smelling fresh. Staff is EXTREMELY friendly and competent. Meals are homecooked, daily activities including clay works, knitting, wood crafts... A well run facility from top to bottom!!

I have an old neighbor of mine who lives here at Cecelia Place. I can't say enough about the facility! I've read some of the other reviews here, and I must say we've experienced the exact opposite. The food here is quite exceptional and the variety is nice. The chef is very receptive to taking our recommendations. Cookouts, exquisite holiday dinners and pizza nights during the big screen movies shown on the weekends. There is plenty to do here, not just Bingo. There are crafts, trips, concerts, painting classes, etc... The rooms are large 1 or 2 bedrooms. Lots of space! The facility bus takes him shopping to nearby stores twice a week. A++

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Dad currently lives in Cecelia Place, and he's there for the last 4 years. They have a large cafeteria area, with a lot of socializing going on, and he has large, full apartment. They have arts and crafts, movies, Bingo, sing along, and they bring music in. They have a Christmas party and summer party. The staff is nice, they have a lot of extra service, and can administer medication if needed. There is a family doctor on staff who comes periodically, and can give referrals to other doctors outside the facility. The maintenance of the facility is very good, and it's very clean.

I'm not that happy here in Cecelia Place. The people are very nice, I cannot deny that, but I don't like Wisconsin, and I'm hoping I could go back to Arizona. The staff members are very good. They're very nice. However, I don't like the director of this place. He is not a friendly man. Also the food isn't good here because they're very cheap. They don't want to spend the money for good food. Everybody has been complaining that the food is terrible. I eat very little. There is nothing for activities; there's just bingo. We don't have any facilities here. However, I have a very nice apartment. They come in once a week and clean it. I have a big living room, a dinette, a kitchen, and a bathroom. I have an office area and a huge bedroom with a huge closet. The apartment itself is very nice. I also have my own patio.

I visited this facility

I looked at Cecelia Place, but I didn’t really care for the place. It was a very small assisted living facility with only 20 to 25 rooms. I didn’t like the size of the rooms. They were very small and didn't have much privacy. I didn’t get a good feeling when I went in there for a lot of reasons, like their garden area was overgrown, I didn’t see any activities, and their dining area didn’t look nice at all; it just looked like a dining hall. It was a lot more money than the other facility. I wasn’t impressed. I didn’t like the design of the place.

I am a friend or relative of resident

The employees here definitely care about the residents. They talk to them and treat them as if they were their own relatives. I was very impressed on professionalism for an RCAC. The food served by the kitchen was homemade and always hot. The employees are always communicating with families and supervisors regarding cares and concerns of the residents. We've already referred 2 of moms friends to Cecelia Place, they are both moving in at the end of the month. Thanks!!!

Cecelia Place is very nice and clean. People there are very helpful. My father said the food is very good. He has no complaints. He likes it very much. I have really been very happy with it. He is in a one-bedroom apartment.

Beautiful building, great outdoor area for gardening next to the patio, and home cooking with huge apartments! My dad loves it there.

I visited this facility

We are actually looking for a place for my mom and we need to consider a lot of factors, especially the price. This place was actually nice. It is very comfortable and clean. They have a large living room. And the people there are very friendly and professional. I love the place but we are still looking into other options.
