We moved our mother into Oak Hill Terrace Senior Living. Of the two that we looked at, Oak Hill was by far the smallest and most close knit. It's a nice place. It's under renovation right now with new owners. The family that had owned it for many, many years had retired and a new group had bought it. It's multilevel care, so you can be independent and you can have also assisted living up to a level four. They also have memory care available. They have a super nice and engaged staff. They recognize us by name when we see them and when we call, they address all of our issues and concerns. It was quite a transition and they were very helpful and very supportive and could answer all of our questions, so we were very comfortable with making that move. The rooms were very nice. A one-bedroom apartment is where my mother is. A lot of it is undergoing renovation and updates, but it's a very up-to-date and nice community. She gets meals once a day there and she likes it. She likes the soup, and she likes the variety. Not everything is her cup of tea, but there's always an option for like a hotdog, a hamburger, a grilled cheese, or scrambled eggs with every meal if you don't like what the main course options are. It's very good. They have lots of activities. They have a whole calendar they publish every month and there's stuff from music to bingo to everything. They do a lot to keep the community engaged. They just don't sit in their apartments. They want them all to come out and be together and talk to one another and kind of be a community. It's a great community. The skilled nursing staff, all the people from dietary to the business management, the people who helped us make the transition, they're topnotch. They're working on remodeling and updates to it. It's getting a facelift and it looks great. They have something every day. It's not just one thing once in a while. It's like a day full of activities. It's an adjustment for us from where mom was. To bring in skilled care for her and to do the things they're doing, it's not cheap, but it's a good value, especially if you shop around and look.

Oak Hill Terrace Senior Living was a very nice facility. It was cheerful and upbeat. The people seemed very nice. We got cookies. It was a little bit more of an industrial location, which was the one negative we had, but the community itself was very nice, clean, and friendly. It was very well maintained.

I toured Oak Hill Terrace Senior Living. It was much larger than the other facility. There were more people around. They all seemed happy. The staff was very efficient. It was a larger place. So, the check-in and everything was very easy. I had the wrong time for my appointment, but Jen came out anyway, and we did the tour and everything. The dining area looked very nice. They had the tables with the plate settings and everything all set up and their menu looked excellent. They had a special chef just for the people. I would give them a five for helpfulness and knowledge, but it didn't have anything in a secure area for sitting outside. They were only sitting outside like in the front entrance area. So, there's nothing secure for anybody. It was just pretty open. It had 3 or 4 level floors, so you had to use an elevator. The upkeep and the buildings were fine.

Oak Hill Terrace Senior Living was a very, very nice place. It was bigger, larger. The two ladies gave us a very big tour of the place. They offer a lot, full meals, and full care. They offer two-week respite care, but they showed us one of the apartments available which was beautiful, but you need your own furniture. Everything is so clean.

We chose Oak Hill Terrace Senior Living. The living room and bedroom are really large. The closet is humongous. We went and had lunch the other day, which was good. What my husband liked about it was that they were right there, served his coffee, and it was nice and hot. The staff was fantastic. They have therapy. They have a room you can go into and do different arts and crafts. They had push carts for juice, coffee, and whatever. They came out and asked us what we would like. They had a choice of two different items for the meal. We could go on the menu and get it, which I thought was neat.

I toured Oak Hill Terrace Senior Living. I didn't like the apartments at all. They didn't have a dishwasher. I just didn't like it at all. It was an older facility. The apartment was small to me. I would have been claustrophobic there. However, the person was very nice and thorough and explained everything to me. They also went from independent living to memory care.

I went to look at Oak Hill Terrace Senior Living. I like the place. The price was right. I'm from Waukesha, so I know the area. The staff members were very helpful. I enjoyed talking with them. I looked at one- and two-bedroom apartments. They had furniture in them. I liked the floor plans. It was nice and very roomy. They showed me most of the different places that you can use, like the cafeteria and other rooms. They had a courtyard, a library, and game rooms.

We were disappointed with our visit to Oak Hill Terrace Senior Living. When you walk in, the environment almost immediately felt like a nursing home. The person who gave the tour didn't have all the answers. The rooms we didn't really care for, and the dining area seemed very small, I don't know how they fed everybody at one time. They didn't have underground parking and they didn't have a lot of parking spaces. Those were the drawbacks of the place. The staff members were nice, there was one particular girl that was really nice, and seemed pretty knowledgeable.

I toured Oak Hill Terrace Senior Living. I liked this facility. I liked the 3 different room sizes that they had available. They had nice activities, like cards, games, parties, and live entertainment. The staff answered my questions and gave me the time I needed. She was exceptional. They had laundry services, housekeeping, and cable TV, and their rooms had appliances. They also had a physical therapy room.

Oak Hill Terrace Senior Living was a little dated, and the apartment we got to see was not cleaned up. The carpets were very spotted, and there were things out of the woodwork. It looked like it had been lived in. I think they offered good services, especially for independent living (where they had the pull cords and they check on people daily). It was set up obviously for senior people. It had a balcony. It's just that it was tired. Probably with a little elbow grease, it probably could go right back into shape. The staff was very nice. We gave them basically no notice. We just said, "Can we come over this afternoon?" They accommodated us very nicely. COVID was going on at the time, so everybody was wearing masks. They have very nice personnel. Size wise, the room was about what I would expect. It was a one-bedroom that I looked at. It had a living room and a small kitchenette. The bathtub was a regular bathtub, which surprised me a little bit because those are sometimes hard to get into for seniors. Everything was nice except that it was a little dated. The grounds were nice, and the entryway was nice. We looked at the menu just for that week. I was looking for an 89-year-old woman, and the food was kind of extravagant for that age. They said that they just hired a chef that had her own farm. She had a restaurant on her farm, and it was all food from her farm. I imagine it was probably very good that way. It was something I would like and appreciate more than somebody like an 89-year-old woman, who just wants mashed potatoes and meat.

I visited the independent living side of Oak Hill Terrace Senior Living. I was very happy with the tour. The lady that led me through was very helpful, very friendly, and very knowledgeable. I would have moved in there, except all they had available was a very small studio and it was just too small for my needs. They went over the activities too. I liked the facility, it was very nice. They had an exercise room and they had gardens available if you choose to participate. I would recommend the facility.

Oak Hill Terrace Senior Living was quite nice. It was a little old, but other than that, it was very nicely run and clean. They showed us both independent living and assisted living and that's the nicest thing about it, you can just change from apartment living to assisted living. The manager was very knowledgeable and very good. He has answered the questions that we had. He was there for like 15 years, and so he knew all about the place. The apartments had a kitchenette and microwave, but the laundry was external and was located on each floor. They had an outdoor patio, too, and a very nice lobby area.
