Azura Memory Care of Oak Creek is a locked facility and the only way you can get in or out is if somebody would let you to do that and that's great. I love that it's smaller. I think there are two buildings with 25 people each. It's very new. I haven't had any issues with the caregivers. I think they're always very nice. They always greet me and tell me what things are going on with my husband. He had a little cut (which they didn't know where it was from) and they informed me about it. The room that he is in is one of the smaller ones, but I think it's a nice size. He has a bed, a dresser, a TV, two chairs, and a recliner. Every time I go there, the carpeting is vacuumed and the bathrooms are very clean. Whenever I've gone there, they've offered me food and it's very good. He seems to be very receptive to the people there. He has access to a psychotherapist and a podiatrist. He gets his haircut whenever he needs it, too. A doctor comes in and they have a nurse on staff as well.

About Azura Memory Care of Oak Creek in Oak Creek, Wisconsin

I toured Azura Memory Care of Oak Creek. They had a very full calendar, which was impressive. It seemed like they really do a lot with their residents. The tour guide was very helpful and very sweet. It was a good tour. They were very good; that is really what I think. They really care about their residents. There was a patio; however, it was pouring rain the day I went. They showed me the rooms, the dining area, and a common area. They have rooms for families to visit as well. The dining room was welcoming. The upkeep was good.

This facility and staff are wonderful. We have no complaints in any way. The staff is caring, at all levels. It's been a difficult year (2020) but the staff are ready to assist resident and family to connect. The facility was always clean. My mom likes most of the meals, you cant please everyone all the time. I'm very involved, and I never felt like the staff was rude or annoyed with all the times I contact them. Many activities, very nice facility and gated garden.

Please do not take your loved ones here. The management is absolutely horrid. The employees get no training, so then the residents don't get any proper care. Please chose somewhere else

Azura Memory Care of Oak Creek was wonderful, but they're still holding a $1,000 deposit and have never gotten back to me. They said that they lost their nurse and were going to replace her/him and since that time, nobody's contacted me. My impression of them was they were lining people up to get deposit checks and then taking patients based on how little care they would need. My mom was diabetic, so at the time she would have had to have her blood sugar tested and insulin given and without a nurse there to assign that task, nobody would be able to give insulin. They can't expect me to believe that it's been a month and a half to two months now that they haven't gotten an RN in there. They haven't cashed the check yet. The facility, rooms, and the overall appearance were nice.
