My mother has moved into The View at Johnson Creek. She can't walk very well, and she needs assistance with walking and things like that. They help her go to the bathroom. They walk them to the cafeteria to eat. They will feed them if they need to be fed. They have all kinds of different activities that they do. The only thing that I'm a little disappointed with is that, if they are wheelchair-bound, then they have to find their own transportation to appointments and things like that. The staff is very nice. It's a brand-new building. I had tried their food a couple of times, but my mother is very picky, so she has a little problem with it. To me, it doesn't seem that there is a problem because they have two chefs there. And if it's something they don't like, they can ask for something else. The facility is very clean. It's almost like an outdoor lodge because they have moose, deer, and all that kind of stuff in there. It's very nice. There are two different types of rooms. There are double suites for a husband and wife, and then there are single rooms. My mother's room is quite big. Each room has its own bath and shower. They also have a huge closet. There are four or five very nice deep shelves that you can put things on. The bathroom is huge, very wide, and wheelchair accessible along with the shower and everything. They have shower seats that they put them in, to take a shower. I'm satisfied with what they do right now. Mother has made friends with some of the staff. They come in and sit with her if they're kind of at the end of their shifts. They have all kinds of activities, too. There's a lady that brings puppies. They let the puppies go into the activity area, and they let the residents play with them or let the puppies sit on their lap and things like that. For activities, it's different almost every week. But they have like an exercise class every morning. In the summertime, they will take little trips like to a thrift store or they'll take them out to eat. They will take them and look at the colors of the leaves and things like that. And then I was told the Fourth of July, they go out to the area where there is a big area of grass, and they have a big barbecue. Then in the evening, they watch the fireworks. They also do crafts and sing. It is a little expensive, but I think it's cheaper than the other places that I've looked at. Other places wanted a little more but weren't as nice as this place is.

My mom is in The View at Johnson Creek. This is her second week now. What I like is certainly their bigger rooms. The facility itself seems nicer compared to other places. In terms of quality, it was certainly higher up there. Prices are somewhat competitive, too. The outdoor space is not as good as the majority of the other places. They are actually on top of a hill in a relatively new subdivision, so they don't have a lot of outdoor space. The staff all seem pleasant. I don't know what they're like when it's just her alone; but when I'm there, they all seem pleasant and helpful. My mom has complained about the food, but I haven't tried it. That has been her one complaint so far. The place is very clean and nice. They have activities. It was probably on par with other places I've looked at.

The View at Johnson Creek was awesome. It looked out over everything, and my brother could sit outside. It's way up on top and high on a hill. It overlooks kind of the downtown business area. My brother likes to people watch, so he could watch traffic. It's across from a huge Menards way down below, it's far like a quarter of a mile away, but you could see it. It's only two years old, so the cleanliness, the newness, that I would rate high. Staff wise, they told me right up front, the nurse said they wouldn't be able to handle the care that my brother needs. The person who gave me a tour was very nice and the facility is very clean. It's just an awesome place to send a loved one. It does have just one general dining room.

The View at Johnson Creek was absolutely beautiful. Our tour experience was very good. It's only two years old, so it's all updated and very modern looking. When you walk into the dining area, it's all granite countertops. It's just very, very high scale, but it was out of our price range. The lady who toured me was very, very knowledgeable. She made sure I got to go around and got to see all the different sizes of rooms and all the different activities they had. They had bingo going on and it looked like the whole wing of residents was there. It was packed. A lot of people were enjoying that. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, too.
