Village Pointe Commons looks excellent, but the layout is a little confusing and they don't have enough signs. The management correspondence is a little lacking. They also don't share information about COVID. If someone has it, their policy is not to tell anybody. They have a gym, aerobics, swimming, and field trips, but my mother hasn't been able to do anything yet. She thinks the food is excellent.

I'm planning on moving to Village Pointe Commons. It is closer to my daughter and closer to a church I like, so it worked out well that way. That's probably the least number of rooms we went in but that was because that was the only vacant one they had. So, they're saying they have a high occupancy rate, which tells you that people like what they've seen. The other thing is I liked a lot of the activities that they have. It has a swimming pool and they do water aerobics. Every day of the week, they have something going on in the swimming pool, so there's a lot of chance for physical activity. Their gym area was bigger than most of the ones we looked at. They have plenty of gathering places outside of your room. They have a gardening club. It's just a little container garden but there is a possibility of doing some gardening and quite a few of the places have balconies. For somebody like me who likes to garden a lot, I could end up with one that I could garden on my balcony. They were well prepared to provide a tour for me. The staff seemed nice. Another point I liked about Village Pointe is they gave you in your monthly rental a $100 food discount. Otherwise, you pay for all the extra meals. It was $10 for breakfast and $15 for lunch and dinner. Once you're $100 was over, then you started paying extra for all the meals. I probably would want to do a meal a day, not three meals a day or two meals a day. There are a lot of restaurants around there that are worth eating at. The activities were a little bit better, from looking at their monthly schedule. Because it's a Capri place and they have other Capri places there, they try to get together with the other communities for events, so you get to meet people outside of your own residence.

I will be moving into Village Pointe Commons. I was only there once. It's very close to my daughter and granddaughter and that's the main reason I'm moving from where I live now. The staff, Cathy, was very nice and has been very helpful to me. I'm looking forward to having her guide me through the first parts of being there. She's very knowledgeable.

I toured Village Pointe Commons for my mom. It was fine, very modern, and everyone was friendly. The staff seemed very friendly, too. They showed us the apartment and it was fine. I did not see a reason for them to have such a large kitchen that seemed to use a lot of space. They had a swimming pool and a craft room or an activity room. It was generally well-maintained.

Village Pointe Commons is very nice. My mother gets help with bathing, clothing, dressing, and using the bathroom. She gets three meals a day and in-house therapy. The staff is very nice. There's no dining because of the pandemic, so all the meals are delivered to her room currently. The facility is very clean. They have singing in the garden every day at 4:00, they had a car show where old cars drove around the building like a parade, and I saw a group of ladies playing bingo. They're starting to resume more, but are still limited in terms of activities.

I'm moving into The Pinnacle at Village Pointe Commons. The rooms are good. They have a swimming pool, they offer exercises, they have a weight room with exercise equipment, they play cards, and go on outings, the usual things that all the independent places have. The food was all right.

We are at Village Pointe Commons. It's brand-new and we have a gorgeous apartment, but the food is bad. They have a chef, but they just opened in January and they're struggling. The staff and the people here are wonderful, they just work, work, work, and do everything they can. Everybody is very pleasant, including the chef. He has been here about three months now trying to turn things around. So we just don't go to eat, we'd rather eat in our apartment or go out. They have everything, they have a pool, a beautiful fitness center, and it's your usual seven or eight entertainment. We just know that the budget hasn't allowed for them to bring in top-notch people, and we pay $45 a piece to see the Milwaukee Symphony when they come out to the suburbs. It's not a criticism of here, it's just the way it is.

I was very impressed with Village Pointe Commons. It was very clean and had a nice restaurant on-site, plus a pool and workout equipment. Everything was relatively new, and I liked the location. People were very friendly there.
