My mother-in-law is at Elizabeth Residence Franklin. The level of care that the staffing provides is phenomenal. They are caring and loving, and there's a consistency of care. There's very little turnover and we're very happy with that. She's been there for over 10 years and she's like a family member there. They take such good care of her. She's non-verbal so it says a lot for a place that they're able to care for her this long. She has advanced Alzheimer's. I know it's not a memory care place per se, but they have taken her as a memory care patient and done great things with her. They have a great music program, and she enjoys that. She can't participate in much because of her issues, but she loves their music program, and they have that quite a bit. And they also have weekly mass where a Catholic priest comes in and she finds that very comforting.

I toured the Elizabeth Residence Franklin. They were very nice. I thought parts of the center were very clean. It was a small center. I thought the patient's rooms were kind of small and drab. The memory care portion was a little bit less clean. The staff was very nice. They had a patio, which is nice. They had an activity center. They did have a PT area.

I had to be very involved in my father’s care. I would cross reference their medication list with the doctor’s list and also the pharmacy. My father was supposed to be on 24 hours of oxygen. I would often come to visit and he’d be gasping for air. I brought it to their attention and I even have an email from them stating the caregivers have to get better with checking on my dad. Please find a difference place. It’s practically a full time job making sure your loved one is cared for.

This is my brief and horrific experience with Elizabeth Residence. My loved one was admitted without their medication, including insulin. Their medication didn’t arrive for TWO days. Administration’s excuse was that they “are using a new pharmacy” BUT two days without life sustaining medication is life threatening. The aides were rough and physically hurt my loved one. Administration’s response was, “no human should be treated like that”, but Elizabeth Residence’s practices do allow for residence to be treated inhumanely. The aides were unable or unwilling to offer compassionate care. Administration’s response was that “some aides need more training”. My loved one passed away after less than 7 days at the facility, lack of medication was a contributing factor. It is incomprehensible to me how the facility turns a blind eye to mistreatment and has no desire to treat a human being with dignity. Is this what you want your loved one experience to be?? I am speaking out, to spare your loved one and you of having a similar story.

Several "caregivers" were very unprofessional and lack compassion. Management was not helpful and dismissed concerns brought by family. Several videos are available where the treatment to the resident was completely unacceptable. I would definitely not recommend this facility.

My mom moved into Elizabeth Residence Franklin last January. Her overall experience is OK. They have unskilled people working there. We have to stress to them that she needs a specific diet because what they were feeding her, she wasn't able to eat. She has false teeth, and it's hard for her to eat. She has a nice room. I had to take the closet door off the closet because it wasn't working. The dining area is nice, and the food is OK, except they were serving too many sandwiches. They have parlors. There are not a lot of amenities. They've got a patio in the warm weather. They do have recreation, and entertainment, and a couple TV rooms.

My mom was at Elizabeth Residence for three years. I can’t thank the staff enough for the loving care they gave her. She was in a private room with her own bathroom. She could bring in her own things. As her disability progressed someone always sat with her at meal time to feed her. Any assistance she need the staff was always right there, no waiting for help. She, her room and her clothes were always clean. The staff was very punctual at reporting to me any changes or problems she had. The atmosphere is very home like with decorating for all the holidays. There also were several activities every day for the residents to participate in. I’m sure happy we found this place.

We're very happy with Elizabeth Residence Franklin. It's very fresh, clean, and the layout's very accessible for those with wheelchairs or walkers. The staff has been wonderful and I can't say enough good things about them. My mom and I are very happy with where my dad is at. They have group music classes, Bingo, cards, movies, exercise class, and my dad has been participating in most of them and he's very happy. The dining area is very clean and my mom has eaten with my dad on occasion and she's very happy with the food choices, nutritional value and taste. It's a very nice place.

Elizabeth Residence had wonderful care and people, and we couldn’t recommend them more. They were very family oriented; they did big Christmas parties for the family of the residents, had a big summer cookout, and were always encouraging family members to come and have lunch. It was a locked facility where you have to be approved to get in and out, so it was very secure and very tidy. I don’t know how old the building is, but it looked very new and modern. The rooms were not huge but just big enough. You didn’t need a big room because they wanted the residents to go play music and do crafts or do activities. They had a hair salon and offered a lot. Everybody was very helpful. Even when my grandmother was in the hospital on her deathbed, four or five of the caregivers came to visit her. They become attached to their residents, and it was a wonderful experience.

I went to Elizabeth Residence. It and the staff were nice. They had private rooms, but I did not know if they had private or shared bathrooms. They wanted private pay for two years and an entrance fee. It was family owned, and one of the owners that came up to evaluate my husband seemed very genuine. I had a good feeling about it. If it had not been too pricey, I might have thought about it.
