My wife has moved into English Meadows Teays Valley. We like it. They have a very caring staff. They take good care of her. The service is very good. The place is clean and it looks good. They have good food. They have a good nursing staff. They have different things. If you have a doctor's appointment, they have a bus. They will take you in a wheelchair wherever you need to go. They have a beauty shop. She gets her hair done on Mondays. They have tons of activities. They have a good food variety. Dining is spacious, clean, and very good.

I toured English Meadows Teays Valley, and it's the place that I liked the most. I liked that there was a flat rate or flat fee, and there were no add-ons as far as the level of care. I like how they assessed different levels of care to different individuals, depending on what needed to be done, so that was very nice. I found the place to be the right size, and it seemed to be very clean and new. I went to the memory care unit as well, and that seemed very nice and clean also, and it seems like the patients were being very well taken care of. The person who was supposed to be giving the tour, the director, was out, so somebody was filling in. He was very knowledgeable in telling me that both my parents were getting a $500 discount a month, and in answering my questions. I saw an activities calendar, so they have activities for the individuals. They had a courtyard, a salon, and physical therapy on-site.

The tour I had at English Meadows Teays Valley was absolutely fantastic. We really liked it. It was top of the list. We were happy with the tour. I felt like I had stepped into a five-star hotel. The rooms looked comfortable and clean. Everything was very clean and smelled clean. I was very impressed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It felt very comfortable and very relaxed. It just felt like you were going to visit somebody and it felt like a home. If I choose somewhere to put my spouse, it would be there. This was my first choice. I can't say enough about it.

My mother is here. We really liked it, and the experience so far has been wonderful. The staff is all super friendly and helpful. The facility is very clean. They have lots of activities for the residents. They do bingo, arts and crafts, they do special get-togethers, they provide snacks and coffee sessions, they do outings, and they have spa day where they do manis and pedis for both females and males. They have a theater, exercise classes, chair Zumba, and chair exercises. One of the big things for us is they have a physical therapy department right here onsite, which Mom has taken advantage of, and has helped her immensely. She's in a studio, which is perfect for her. It has a full refrigerator, microwave, sink, and a studio area. It has a huge walk-in shower with a built-in shower bench and plenty of room in the bathroom to maneuver because she's mainly in a wheelchair right now. It's a good size. I had a roast beef sandwich, which was amazing and very tender. They also have a little cafe that the residents can order at anytime of the day. They can have sandwiches or hamburgers and that type of thing.
