Celebration Villa of Teays Valley is an outstanding care facility for older folks who are unable to live independently. We moved my mother-in-law in last fall, and she has improved so much. She has her own studio apartment with a private bathroom. The staff is so friendly and helpful with daily tasks like medication management, laundry, meal prep and eating. They also feature daily activities, along with therapy and a hair salon on-site. We are very pleased with Nana’s new home.

I toured Celebration Villa of Teays Valley and they were very nice. What I liked the best was the staff and management. They were very good. Their common area was nice. The rooms were nice. The food was excellent. I was there quite a bit, and their dinners were very nice. One evening, I had chicken and dumplings. Their meatloaf was also very good and the vegetable soup was good.

I really liked Celebration Villa of Teays Valley. The facilities were really clean. They had a lot of activities for the residents there. They tried to keep them out of their rooms as much as possible so they could get out and make friends and do some activities. The staff seemed to be really caring and compassionate. They were putting in a theater room, and their dining room was really beautiful. They set up the full table with all the silverware and everything in place.

I was very impressed with the appearance of Celebration Villa of Teays Valley. It seemed very updated. They were doing renovations. It's a welcoming location, both in the appearance of the property and the people at the property. Unfortunately, the rooms did not have kitchens, so that was a big drawback for me. The dining room was very nice. It looked very elegant and it looked like it would be a comfortable place to interact with other people. It also gave you a sense of not being in a facility, but being more in a restaurant-type area. It was very nice. The outdoor areas looked very welcoming and very safe. They had an interior courtyard that was enclosed by the building around it, so people who had issues with memory and things like that couldn't wander off, which is a concern when you have a facility like that. The furnishings seemed to be kept up-to-date. They were in the process of taking out some old things and putting new things in. It's being managed and kept up-to-date. It's not just getting old. The staff during the tour was very friendly. She displayed very obvious care for the people that were there. There was a woman who seemed a little bit stressed and the staff interrupted our tour to give her comfort. She went over and she embraced her. I thought what she did was a very caring gesture. I thought this is what you want in a place like this. You don't want people that are more interested in making a sale than taking care of the people that are there. I took that as a very positive indicator. Amanda is her name. She seemed very up on everything about the property. She was telling me that they have room for 54 assisted living and 35 memory care and that they were getting close to capacity with what they had at that location. I was impressed with her knowledge of the business of the place, but then also impressed with her sensitivity to the needs of the people who were already there.

I was looking for respite care just for a few days for my husband and I found Celebration Villa of Teays Valley. There is also nursing and aide care because he is in a wheelchair. He'll need assistance with basic stuff. It was wonderful. They were very, very nice, showing everything that they had, and taking care of all his needs. We spent probably an hour there. We did not see any activity, but we were told of several activities they have throughout the week, throughout the year, and all the different spaces that the residents can go to, to do all these different activities. They have a movie theater-type venue. They have an outside area where they grill food and you can go out there. It's a very nice place. The rooms were ample. They weren't huge, but the one my husband's supposed to be getting is going to be newly renovated. They're renovating several of the rooms. If someone was to stay there permanently, it seems to be everything you need. The bathrooms were updated. Even though we've not spent any actual time there, everything I saw and everything we experienced on our little tour was upscale. The one person that took care of us was extremely knowledgeable. She knew all about the insurance things. Any questions that I would have, she knew exactly what to answer. She was very with it and very good. She was a nurse. She wasn't a tour person. We just showed up and everything was still in tip top shape. They had very nice seating areas, several gathering rooms, and two different dining rooms with actual fabric-covered nice chairs, like a hotel. My husband will be there for ten days.

I toured the Celebration Villa of Teays Valley. I loved the outdoor courtyard area that they have. I talked to January, who's the director there, and she was very helpful in answering my questions and giving me the tour. She's very nice and even followed up with me. I saw both their assisted living and memory care when I was there. They really need to do some updating because it's an older building. She said they're going to be doing some renovations in the spring. The facility needs to get a facelift and update the appearance of the inside lobby and stuff. I like how the director interacted with the residents there at the facility. Some man came into her office and she interacted with him and talked to him, she treated him like he was her dad. She invited me to come back and bring my mom and dad up there for lunch.

Celebration Villa of Teays Valley was very rundown. When we walked into the memory care center, the smell hit us in the face. It's not well kept. It was a no since I walked in the door. The staff was very friendly and seemed to be paying attention to the patients and things. There was not a problem with the staff at all. It was just the facility itself. They showed us one room and it was very run down and it had just a horrible odor. They were having lunch and that smelled good. I had asked about an outside space, and the staff walked to the end of the hall, opened the door, and showed us a little concrete pad and two little chairs in there. That was their outside space. It was nonexistent, in my opinion. The dining area was very small and very cramped. If your relative was incontinent and had to have Depends and things, you had to pay for that. It's not an all-inclusive price.

We toured Celebration Villa of Teays Valley. The staff who assisted us was very thorough and she was very open to showing us around and offering us opportunities for visits with my father there to find out whether he would do OK there or not. She went over and above what was necessary for her job. The facility was nice. There was nothing that I saw there that would be detrimental to anybody's health. They seemed to be on top of things. They were feeding good meals. And from what I could see, there was a medical staff there to take care of needs. The rooms were nice. She showed us three different rooms, and they were all nice to us. You have to bring your own furniture. I think they need to be a little more competitive in price because they were a little higher than everybody else.

I liked the activities that they have and the staff seemed to be engaged with the residents. It had a very home-like environment too. When we first entered the facility, they had music playing in the 60s, so there's happy music playing and I felt positive about the place. The residents were visiting with each other in the big room, and there was a fire going in the fireplace while they were socializing. They have an activity where they study other countries, which is very nice, also Bible study each day for the residents, and a social hour in the evening. There was a resident working on a puzzle and one of the employees was helping him with that. I saw the room that my mom's going to be in, and it was spacious. They're going to replace the carpet, have it painted before she arrives, place a new vanity in the bathroom. and everything in the facility seemed very clean. We met the director, we met the person who's in charge of cleaning the facility, and some of the different people that take care of the residents, and they were all very friendly.

Our experience with has so far been very good. I like the ease and availability of getting my parents in and getting them taken care of. I didn't really see the rooms up close and personal because of the lockdown, so I just did a virtual tour, and the rooms looked very nice. Their dining area was very good. They have a library, book club, and multiple activities.

My aunt is happy here. I feel her health has improved because she's getting fed regularly, and she's getting the right medications on time. She likes the dining experience there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. She has nothing but positive things to say. They go on weekly trips and and there's an exercise room. Her room is just a bedroom with a private bath, but they have different room options.

My mother moved in, and we're happy with it so far. It's homey and clean, and everyone there has been helpful. It was close to where my sister lives, and they had a room available. The staff has been fantastic, and the food appears to be really good.

It is very clean, very uplifting, and cheery. All of the residents seemed to be happy, and the staff has been wonderful to my mom. She loves the activities and likes the food. She is eating very well and enjoys going to the dining room. It has a homey environment. They get to sit at the table and be waited on like in a restaurant.

We have mother placed here. It’s more family oriented. They have all three meals. The staff is good, very warm, friendly, and helpful. They have activities, church, bingo, sing-alongs, and have people come in from the outside to talk to the residents. They have a Super Bowl party tonight. They have a therapy room, a barber and hair stylist come in twice a week, and a doctor and nurses on-staff. They have a shuttle service back and forth from doctors' appointments.

I am impressed with this community. The people over there are just wonderful. It is very friendly and very clean. The staff is all very nice. They give my mother a lot of attention. I am afraid that she may have trouble adjusting, but she was at home within a couple of weeks. They have lot of activities. They take them out to eat. They play bingo and do puzzles, and they have lots of different people that come in to provide music. They have religious services probably two to four times a week for the elderly. They have family night every month. The families are invited to eat with their parents at any meal time. I have two or three meals over there, and what I have tasted has been very good. I have a lot of friends that go and visit mother, and they are surprised at how nice they are compared to some of the other ones.
