My dad has been a resident at Callahan House Memory Care for over a year! The staff members truly care about the residents, know them by name and treat them well, focusing on their individual needs. The rooms are private and nice. There are daily activities catered to the residents. My dad thinks the food is great and he eats well. Thank you for all you do! I highly recommend this facility!

My Mom was a resident for over 4 years. I loved the activities provided for her, bus rides, sight seeing, music, exercises. It was expensive. I seemed to have constant run ins with the head nurse. Not getting OTC meds to her in a timely fashion when I requested them, but worse of all, not following Dr's written orders on how an infection needed to be treated. Instead of changing the bandages and applying meds 3 x days, they decided 1 x a day would be sufficient. By the way, the infection was not reported to me right away, by the time I got to the Dr it was Mercer Staff. Totally Unacceptable. I eventually moved her to an Adult Family Home. No frills, but excellent care. On top of everything, the slightest change, I was notified. She spent her last 2 years there. She was very happy, more personalized care, and only 4 other residents. Very quiet, and Loving, Caring , care-givers. I wish, in retrospect, that I had skipped Aegis, and had taken her to the AFH first. Rest in Peace Mom. She Passed 12/25/18

Very slow response time. Understaffed. Like car salesmen to get you in, next day everything changes. Nothing fresh about the food but a salad. All uniformed manufactured crap. Yes, fresh frozen food. Been is fish biz 53 yrs. Don't eat the fish. Have family bring food! Interpretations of contracts differ. Some dinners are disgustingly salty for seniors. Need a dietician. "Mistakes" happen on a daily basis. The caregivers pagers are down today. So in an emergency, working pagers or not, you're screwed.

Unfortunately I’m thoroughly disgusted with the care my father has received. The lack of accountability on the part of management and staff is appalling! Do your research very well because just because someone or the place looks all shiny on the outside surely doesn’t show the inside! We put our trust in a place that “claimed” they were extremely qualified however they failed my father! I implore if anyone navigating the care of a loved one to be extremely diligent on how your loved one is cared for!!! The cost of your loved one could be their life!!! Disgusted!!!

The staff at Aegis of Shoreline was good to my mom but it was an expensive facility. The rooms were small and that is what discouraged us from putting her in there. They had a good schedule of activities there and they have a really nice park right across the street where they take the residents to all the time. Their security is very good.

Aegis of Shoreline has great rooms. Their rooms are a convenient shape, so you can get around easily. It is clean and has a view of a courtyard that is well-kept. It is a well-maintained facility, and it is not depressing. The colors and the décor are nice, and the people are attentive. It is not the most convenient location; it is not on a bus line, but my friend opted for something that is clean and makes her feel spoiled. So far, the staff seems to know their job, and they are available, which is good. If someone asks for help, they seem to be right on it. You don't have to hunt them down because they are right there, so it is helpful.

I liked Aegis of Shoreline very much. They were very warm and the place seemed very clean. They have a lot of amenities. We have lunch there and the food was exceptional. Everybody that I talked to seemed very happy. But even though I liked it in there, my parent's demands are beyond demanding so I guess it's not going to work.

My Mom has been living at Callahan house for a little over a year. The staff is wonderful! The facility is beautiful. Everyone has their own room which they can decorate any way they choose. There is no judgement on the part of any of the staff when the residents go from room to room. They guide them, very kindly, to where they need to be. The food is wonderful and everything is very clean. We love the place!
