I've been to Laurel Cove Community in Shoreline. I only went into their nice big lobby or living room. I didn't go into anybody's room or the eating space. I was only there for a birthday party. My friend was very wobbly and his wife was in the memory unit but I never saw that. He stayed in assisted living. I think they did an excellent job with them. During my visit, I didn't go into my friend's room because the pandemic was on. We couldn't go in after we went to that birthday party, everything was shut down. I never got to see his room but the big living room was very clean and very nice. I only met one staff member and the person was very nice. The person that I knew there was also not capable of participating in any excursions or anything like that so I have no idea what they offer.

I went to Laurel Cove Community. The people were very friendly and they seemed to be very busy. The staff was very nice. The young woman was sitting at the desk immediately came up and said, "Hi, can I help you?" Everywhere we went it was nice and you felt very comfortable. I liked the room there. On the outside, it doesn't look like much, but when you walk in, it's a completely different feeling. The menus look good. They showed us the menus, and we were there each time at almost lunchtime. Their residents seemed to go to lunch between 11:00 and 1:00. The food smelled fantastic, but we didn't eat any of it.

My dad is going to Laurel Cove Community for respite care. It seems like a very caring community. The staff that we worked with for the placement bent over backward to understand our needs and get to know my dad who is going there. They were just very easy to work with, and we felt like they would provide a caring place for him to go. The facility seemed clean and organized. They had availability, too. The person who took us on a tour was very caring, knowledgeable, and interested in our needs. He worked hard to try to understand what we needed and tried to reassure us.

We toured Laurel Cove Community. The one-bedroom suites are huge and clean. They have air conditioning. The staff who gave the tour was great. They offered the same amenities like housekeeping, activities, and meals. The dining area was nice and pleasant. They also have a beauty salon, and it's reasonably priced as well.

I had an in-person tour of Laurel Cove Community. It was really, really friendly. Everybody seemed to know people's names, and they chatted with each other. I liked how in the memory care, the doors open out into a hallway, and that you can't get lost getting to the activities room and eating area. I saw their activities calendar, and I actually saw one of the activities. The people were sitting around and laughing. The woman doing the tour asked them what they were doing, and they said they were talking about their childhood. Everybody was so engaged. I liked the courtyard. The rooms are big. The staff was friendly and nice. They knew the people who lived there. It was a homier feeling. The facility wasn't quite as fancy, but it's very clean and updated.
