The staff at Interurban Senior Living was great. She showed me around, and she was very knowledgeable, very nice, very patient, and very helpful. They told me what the process would be and what I would need. The apartment itself was fine, but it was a bit smaller than I expected. All in all, everything was good. It was a little bit of a good walking distance from the bus. They had a facility center for exercising, a library with a few books, an area where there would be events like bingo, a game room, and a place that you could rent where you could bring friends or family over. Up on the roof, I think that was probably the best one. On a sunny day, you could go up there and enjoy the great view of Mount Rainier.

The manager at Interurban Senior Living was a fine man. He was polite and professional. Their process required a 12 months bank statement. I told him I have a retirement account and he said I have to give a year's savings. I told him that was crazy because banks only ask for 2 months' bank statements. They ask things that the banks don't ask for a mortgage. He showed me everything. I saw a 1-bedroom apartment. The size was fine because I am looking for a single person. The facility had a computer room and it had a washer and dryer. They have some rooms to have coffee and socialize if you want to. The place is an independent living and it's good and well-done. It's exceptionally good.

Interurban was really nice and beautiful. It was fairly new, and they didn’t have an activities director yet. It’s a very large place and a very nicely sized clubhouse. We liked it very much. I think it had underground parking. The staff was very nice. We just had a major problem in meeting the income restriction, and we would not qualify. They offer transportation, and you can use an electric car if you want to do shopping.
