Visit Ida Culver House to experience the epitome of human kindness. This retirement apartment complex features a large array of classes and services. However, the thoughtfulness and caring of every staff member, from the expert chef to the lowest housemaid, made my six-month's residence there sparkle with health and beauty. I would recommend this facility to anyone seeking apartment comfort.

We visited Ida Culver House Ravenna. It's not too big and had a great backyard. It had a very caring director who gave us the tour. It's right in the city but it had a nice garden area where the residents can have their own garden space if they want. The staff was very nice, very professional, and very caring. It's an older facility with two different sections to it. We toured one room in the older section that was pretty nice. It had a nice cathedral feeling to it and had one bedroom, kitchen area, and the resident living in that unit had a piano. The rest of it was well kept up, clean, and well maintained, but it's at the slightly lower end of the cost scale.

I visited Ida Culver and thought it would be perfectly adequate. It was a lovely setting with lots of activities; they contacted me several times if I wanted to come down and attend. They were very nice, and it was easy to get to. The only grounds are an inside courtyard, which is gardened in a lovely way, and it would be a peaceful place to sit. You could walk to shops. They have in-house dining, and you can eat all your meals there.

I visited Ida Culver, and I think it’s very nice and homey. The people are very friendly. I like the one bedroom that looks out on the garden. They have lots of amenities, like a library, a beautiful patio, and garden where the residents can walk around and sit in. They have a nice dining room area, crafts room and an area for meeting or doing some exercise that you can rent out. The staff member who accommodated me was just terrific and so much fun. The other staff was great.

My dad has lived in Ida Culver since November. What I like about it is the community feel and the hominess. This place is a bit small. The dining room feels like a really comfortable café, and the food is really good with a lot of vegetarian options and fish available for every meal. The one-bedroom apartments were of a nice size but on the smaller size. They charge an extra monthly fee based on the type of assistance needed. They had quite a range of activities better fit for my dad’s interests. They have walking groups, shopping trips, and a lot of music. The staff is very professional and very proactive in trying to help residents get what they need.

We had a wonderful experience at Ida Culver Ravenna, where my father lived for 3 years. When he first moved in, he was living independently, and then needed more care and services as time went on. We were able to adjust the assisted living services to personally meet his needs. The staff and quality of care is exceptional. They are caring and attentive to residents and responsive to family members. Ida Culver offers a great variety of activities both on site and off. My father often commented on how delicious the food was. Also, the buildings and grounds are very well kept and beautifully landscaped and the location is in a great neighborhood. I would highly recommend Ida Culver Ravenna to anyone seeking a new home for their elderly loved ones.

I have visited Ida Culver House Ravenna. They were very friendly, and they seemed to be very caring. They had a nice garden. The food was good. The rooms and apartments seemed small to me. The staff was very knowledgeable and pleasant.

We will be moving dad to Ida Culver. One thing that stands out with this facility is the homey feeling it has. What we like about it too is that he can sit wherever he wants to eat, and he can go outside where they have a little garden. They also have people that come in to give lectures. I think he would be happy in this facility.

My grandmother lives at Ida Culver House Ravenna. Although, she has always been fiercely independent, she lost her eye sight in the last year and could no longer live on her own. The transition to assisted living has been difficult for her but the Ida Culver staff has made it as smooth as possible. The facility is clean and attractive; it looks more like an upscale hotel than a retirement home. The staff is very friendly and quickly learns the names and faces of relatives who visit frequently. There are daily activities, exercise classes, and outings. Every "apartment" has a nice view of either the tree lined street or the beautiful garden. Last weekend, the facility held a family BBQ in the garden. My grandmother had 12 guests come and share a meal with her. There was a live jazz band and activities for the kids. Overall, we are all very pleased with Ida Culver and the quality of life they provide for my grandma. It really is the next best thing to being at home.
