Grannies Place AFH residential assisted living is a one-story facility surrounded by tall lodgepole pines and manicured homes in Port Orchard. It's 11 miles from the Harrison Medical Center and a 90-minute ferry ride and drive from premier medical centers such as the Swedish and Virginia Mason hospitals.

Grannies Place AFH has multiple wheelchair-accessible units and space for four residents. Living options include studio rooms or private and semi-private units each with a living area, large closets and a private bathroom. Around-the-clock staff members are ready to assist with daily living activities, blood sugar testing, showering, incontinence care and other personal needs. Skilled nursing is on-call for more advanced medical needs. Grannies Place is equipped to handle memory care seniors with exit-seeking behavior, and the facility is secure but still offers independence for all residents.

An entertainment room is set apart for movies and activities, and the staff provides scheduled excursions to enjoy local events and waterfront attractions on Bay Street such as the marina district, gift shops and award-winning restaurants and bakeries.
