Chehalis West Assisted Living Center seemed to be more crowded. It didn't seem quite as spacious. They didn't have an opening for Mom, so it wasn't an option. The facilities are older. So it wasn't as new and nice as the other facility we went to. They had an activities room, but I don't think they've started doing activities too much since the COVID. They had what they called a store where people would bring in things they didn't want and they would buy or trade or something. I wasn't as impressed. They had people who were still active that had apartments there and I had met somebody and she said she lived there and she still drove and was active and was happy there. The apartments seemed smaller than the others.

Chehalis West Assisted Living Center seemed older, but the staff seemed very attentive to their residents. Residents were hanging around the nurse station where they could keep an eye on them. They weren't just tucked away in their rooms. We saw the dining area, and it seemed cozy, and not too sterile. The apartments were nice and they had everything that a resident would need.

Chehalis West Assisted Living Center was beautiful. It was nice. The staff during the tour was great with my mom. She took a lot of time talking to her and finding out what her preferences and stuff were. I haven't tried the food, but we did talk to some people that were there that were getting lunch. There were nice people up there and they can kind of go in any time they want to because it wasn't actually at a set lunchtime. They said the food was great and that they loved it. They've got a chef or something that cooks there that's good. They had a list of activities on the internet, but nothing was updated. I don't remember seeing anything that outlined any upcoming activities, although they did say that they do have activities. I don't know if it's because of COVID, or if they were just trying to cut back on activities. They had a beautiful courtyard. It's like on two levels. It's built on a hill almost and so right outside the cafeteria, there was a big wood patio and just a lot of stuff there. They had a nice outside area that wouldn't put them out by the road. It was nice.

Chehalis West Assisted Living Center was in a nice location. They had very nice rooms and the bathroom setups were very good. They gave us clear information on the cost structure and lots of documentation that we went home with. They answered all our questions and showed us what we wanted to see. The place was very tidy and very clean.
