I live in Potomac Woods Apartments. The rent goes up about $30 every year, which is to be pricy. I have a two-bedroom, two-bath, living and dining room, and kitchen, all in one room. They furnished the refrigerator, the stove, and the dishwasher, and you don't pay for water. The only thing you pay for is your electricity, your phone, and your wi-fi. I'm paying $1250 a month. The staff leaves a lot to be desired. Since this Covid has been in place, they treat us more like lepers. From my understanding, they used to do a lot of things with the residents. They don't do so much anymore, mainly because of the Covid. I think the only thing that's going on is bingo.

I went to visit Potomac Woods Apartments. I like the fact that there was security at the front door, I buzzed a button and then pressed a number and somebody answered and said, "I'll be right there." What I liked was when I called to set up an appointment, they had a nice phone message "We're so glad you called. We'd be happy to answer any questions you might have." It just was a very friendly way to start the conversation, instead of "You have reached Potomac Woods, blah blah blah." The woman that I spoke with was terrific. She said "Unfortunately, I don't have any empty units available that I can show you, but we'd be happy to show you around. We can tour the amenities that our senior living facility has to offer." There were two women in their office, one of them got on and she was very pleasant and very helpful. As we were doing the tour, they passed some of the residents, and they addressed them and said "Good morning Susie" or "Morning Joe", and there was a nice, pleasant exchange. They knew people by name. When I got there, it was a nice, bright, sunny day and they were sitting outside. They had a card room with a pool table, a small gym, an activities room, and a very clean laundry room. The place itself was clean and structurally sound, but it didn't have the same quality of finishing as the other place I toured.

I went to Potomac Woods Senior Apartments. I liked the spacious apartments very much. I saw a two-bedroom with two bathrooms, kitchen, and a spacious living room. The staff was very nice.
