Moving into Oaks of Wellington went smoothly. The building's entrances have security set up on the doors, and they think of everything ahead of time. They've been on this location now for 15 years or maybe longer. The community is immaculately kept. Along the long hallway, each apartment has a space where they can display things to give them their own identity. The people who lives there went out of their way to say hello In the hallway, they all say, "Hello! How are you?" I like that very much. It's difficult to live in this kind of place because people don't make eye contact, but not in this community. The apartment itself is well cared for, clean and immaculate. I'm enjoying it. I have a two-bedroom twp-bath with a balcony and washer and dryer in the space. You feel self-sufficient and have your independence, so I'm very happy. I have a good feeling about it, and people who live here for a while go out of their way to tell me how much they enjoy it. I've already been welcomed each day of the week, there's a group of women to meet and chat with. It's a nice way to meet people and I can ask questions about the apartment complex and things like that. When I made the rental agreement, they provided me with quite a bit of information, and there are guidelines on what to do and not to do in the apartments. The rules are very fair, don't impose on your liberty, and respectful of the other residents. The staff you meet in the hallways are very outgoing and friendly. The staff in the office are very open and prompt in answering your questions. I had a problem with the heating and it was gone within a day of me letting them know about it. I feel like I've joined a sorority, there are quite a few women here and there are lots of opportunity to build friendships. It's a very good feeling. There are no meals provided because it's independent living. But they had cookies and what have you, available each day. The layout is good, and getting through the door and up the elevator when you have a disability was very convenient. This afternoon they had a pizza get together and a get-together at least once a week that encourages everyone to come out and attend. There's a hundred residents living here, so many people don't come out. They had church services in the morning and evening on Sundays, an indoor swimming pool, and a fitness room that's well equipped. Once a month we make payments, and I found this community more economical than others. I also found out when signing the contract, they had a discount for Verizon services.

I've been here in Oaks of Wellington for a few years now. The management only has a couple of activities; the rest is all by the people who live here. They have potlucks, a Bridge group, Bingo, breakfasts, and cocktail parties, but it is all organized by the people who live here. There is an indoor pool, a library, a craft room, a theater room, a great room where they have big activities, and a wellness center where they bring people for blood pressure checks and that kind of thing. There's a big room where you can have big parties if you want family to come in. Oaks of Wellington is very well kept. It has been here for 14 years, but they do a good job. I'm very happy here. The price is as competitive as the rest of them. I like it and I like the people very much. I have a 2-bedroom apartment with one bath. We have a lady that does the housekeeping and a man that does the repairs. They're the backbone of this place; they're so good. They're a five, but I would give the office staff a four. The food you handle on your own, but once a month they have a pizza party and a birthday party with cake.

I like Oaks of Wellington very much. The staff is great, the people who live here are very friendly and it's a good place to be. A couple of things are planned by the staff and the rest of it is community planned. It's a good place. There's good interactions with each other. There is no food service. The facility is clean.
