These caregivers TRULY care about my parents. When one of them needed to go to the hospital, the staff checked in on my mom every single day to make sure emotionally she was doing okay. The marketing person even went to the hospital to visit my dad and brought him flowers. We are extremely thankful for everything they have done.

A beautiful and modern facility in a convenient West End location in Richmond. We are so delighted to have found the perfect community for my mother where she is living her best life! All the staff and the residents, have been extremely welcoming. Christy, Director of Sales and Community Relations is the absolute best. She was compassionate and professional, and went out of her way to help walk us through the whole process of making the transition. Our family is so grateful, and we highly recommend this property for your loved ones!

When my wife approached me to leave my home, I was not excited about the move. Nobody wants to leave their home, but I knew it was the best for me. When we arrived at Anthology, now Elance, the staff welcomed us with open arms. We have seen a lot of positive changes with Elance. The food is beyond fantastic. The staff is out of this world, and the activities are so much fun. My wife Shelly and I live in a two bedroom with our dog Teddy. We were not going to move anywhere without him.

Elance is a beautiful community nestled in the Tuckahoe area of Richmond. A family friend of mine lives at this community and I am in awe by how friendly everyone is! We came by for a valentines day social that was held in their activity area. There was food, dancing, music, and more!

Elance at Tuckahoe was very pretty and bright. It had a specific light palette, and it was very appealing. We looked at their 2-bedroom apartment, and we were impressed with the way everything was at that particular place. What I liked best about it was its appearance and its appeal. The woman who showed us the facility was very upbeat and very helpful. She was very friendly and personable. She answered all the questions that I asked. We also met someone from the dietary department. The food was excellent, and I liked the setup where you could order from a fairly varied menu. It was not during mealtime, but they prepared something for us. The place was sparkling clean.

This community is a gem nestled in the heart of Tuckahoe. It has 10 communal spaces, 3 different dining rooms, and 3 outdoor spaces. There are different options for floorplans.

I am excited to see the improvements at this community since a new management company purchased them. I know their executive director came from Midlothian and she has a wonderful reputation in the senior living community. I am thinking about coming back to tour.

I had the same experience as Cheryl. I stopped by unannounced. I live out of town and was passing through. Everyone was busy, and the receptionist couldn't care less. After she got off the phone without acknowledging my presence while talking, she gave me a brochure but didn't bother to find out who I was. Upon my inquiry, she said they had vacancies. Based on my experience, the workers at a business generally reflect the attitude of management. If the staff doesn't care, who does? Interestingly, I had stopped by unannounced at two other places earlier, and they couldn't have been more welcoming. I am not sure if I will bother checking back with Anthology. They probably don't care, but I am a living and breathing candidate for a place like that. I look the part, too, so there should not have been any confusion on the part of the receptionist. I will say the building looks nice. Appears to be very new.

My mother is in independent living now at Anthology of Tuckahoe. It's great. It's a brand-new facility. She thoroughly enjoys it there. It had modern amenities and tons of services. It had everything that we were looking for that other places that we visited was lacking. It's like six months old and nobody's ever lived in her apartment before. It's very, very nice. That's why we chose it. Anthology was the last place we went to, and it was perfect. They have a series of one and two bedroom apartments and they have some larger one-bedroom apartments that they offer. My mom ended up renting a larger one-bedroom, so it's got more square footage. They've got multiple activities like bingo, and they've got a movie theater. They have their own private washer and dryer, which I think was very important versus the community washer and dryer. The food is great. They have a nice, beautiful courtyard outside. They have a salon, they have exercise, and they offer up to three meals a day. My interaction with the staff has been very good. They have independent, assisted, and memory care at the same facility.

I visited Anthology of Tuckahoe in person. First, I called them, but no one returned my call. I stopped there on my way home, and everyone in the sales office was out giving tours. The girl at the front desk wasn't particularly friendly or helpful. I found that they had independent living, assisted living, and memory care all in the same building. It was something that I did not want. I wanted it to be exclusively independent. You walk in the front door, and there is a beautiful waterfall in the lobby. It was fancy, but I felt like I was entering a hospital. There was a woman sitting outside who lived there. She said, "It's new and nice." She was happy with it. She was the friendliest person there. For its purpose, it may be wonderful. It is just not what I was looking for at all.

My parents will be moving into Anthology of Tuckahoe. It is brand new, and seems to have all the amenities that you would need. They got the physical therapy room, hair salon, restaurant, and all that stuff. I think one of the things that's nice there is that if my parents get to the point where they need skilled nursing, they're not going to be turned out of the community. They will be able to stay there and get whatever treatment they need there.
