I moved in at Atlantic at Twin Hickory last October. I chose it because I was able to find work here as a permanent substitute teacher for a school, and I go there every day. It's very clean, the only thing is that they've closed down all amenities like the library and the pool room. They've closed down a lot of stuff because of the Covid-19. They've closed down the community rooms, too. Other than that it's very clean and it's very nice. I'm enjoying the apartment, I have a one-bedroom apartment. It is a great place to live. They have very nice staff. The rent is what I like the most, it's cheap. It's subsidized so the rent is only $902 for a 1-bedroom apartment while in the other parts of Virginia, you pay that price for just a room. It has great location. Broad Street is 2 miles away, that's for all your shopping. Everything's out there from Best Buy to Home Depot. I like to buy from there. They don't have food here, you have to buy your own food. It's a very pretty facility. The only activity they have was the pie show in November, I missed that. Right now they have a contest of who has the best door decoration. So they have that and it's kind of cute. I'd rate the activities higher if they had everything opened but they've closed a lot of stuff.

They are extremely rude. Don't bother calling for information or even moving your family here. Besides the fact it is very outdated and have no fun activities, the management doesn't care. Treat people better and you won't have such bad occupancy

The Atlantic was clean and it was okay. They probably had activities, however, they don't seemed to have a lot going on with the tenants when I went there. They wasn't enough staff.
