Our Mother has lived at English Meadows since Sept. 2021. She shares over and over how she loves her room and the beautiful view of the mountains. We noted the staff that come in to serve her relate like old friends and family making her feel right at home. Mom has significant dementia but has always felt welcomed and supported. She can't remember what she had for lunch by mid-afternoon, but she remembers the food is good. She enjoys the fellowship of the dining room and is assisted by staff to join. When conditions do not support being in the dining room they serve her a meal in her favorite easy chair in her room in front of the TV. If you were to drop in and visit, she would welcome you in like an old friend even though she can't remember you or may never have met you. That in part is due to the feeling of safety and comfort English Meadows staff provide. We would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a place for their loved one!

I liked English Meadows Crozet Campus. I liked the location and everything they had to offer. It was more inclusive than some of the other places that I visited. It's kind of one size fits all. There were no add-on charges for various levels of assisted living or any other area of charges. It's all-inclusive, which is good. I thought the facility was very nice. I am seriously considering the place but the only reason I haven't made it the place I want to go to is because all their apartments are studio apartments which are nice and spacious, but it's just that I've never lived in one before. So, I have to get used to that concept. Typically I would be more interested in a one-bedroom facility, which is what I saw in all the other places. English Meadows Crozet Campus only had studios although it's got various sizes and layouts.

My mother is in English Meadows Crozet Campus. They told us that they're an assistant living place, and they could meet her needs. But so far, they haven't been able quite to do that. They are trying, but I think my mom needs more care than they can take care of her. We have hospice people coming in three different days a week. Most of the staff members are good. Once you ask them to do something, they'll do it. However, sometimes, you have to get them to make sure that my mom's changed, clean, and fed. They do have other activities for some people. They are expensive.

I visited a friend at the Crozet facility recently and was shocked at some of the things I witnessed. There is no set time for meds, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Just whenever they get to you. I had the pleasure of speaking with the nurse manager and she acted like a BULLY. They really need to look at Management and revamp at this location. I hope my next visit is better.

I'm very impressed with the quality of care at English Meadows Crozet Campus. People were very, very nice, very capable, and very well trained. My impression was that people who were living there really were comfortable and felt safe. I talked mainly to the people who are giving the care, and I was very pleased with them. They are mixed; certain rooms are assisted care and certain other rooms are not. I don't think they're separated as clearly as some places might be. The staff at English Meadows was really fun, very kind, very knowledgeable, and very caring. The main thing I could tell was they really care about the people who live there. The facility is actually on several stories, so there is a stairway and an elevator. The view from the windows at that place is absolutely spectacular; I can see how someone could fall in love with the place just by looking out the windows. The mountains in the distance are just gorgeous. The staff are very kind, capable, and very caring. I didn't meet any people who didn't seem happy there. It's obviously right on the street in Crozet. When you go out the front door, you're right outside in the main street, which is not a problem at all. There is a park a few blocks away where people could walk to if they wanted. It's not fancy, but it's very clean, well kept, and very livable.

Mountainside Senior Living is TRULY a hidden gem. The facility, staff, assistance and dining are second to none!! My mom absolutely loves it here!! If I could give this place 10 stars I would, but 5 is the highest!! I surely hope that when I am of age to enter an assisted living facility, Mountainside is still available!!!

This was the only facility my MIL could afford since she’s on social security and we are so thankful. The staff cares and is exceptionally kind and helpful in all matters. You are definitely not getting a room at the Ritz after all the facility accepts SSI. But Mountainside is great and for the first time in a long time my MIL is doing well. She has friends and isn’t just sitting in a room staring at a wall.

I have a resident in this facility and i feel sorry for my family member as they dont keep staff at this facility at all it is a revolving door we see a new face here every week not consistant. The floor that my relative stays on smells like urine. They have staff that are very unwelcoming to even encounter, do they not talk to these people before hiring them or do they just allow anyone in off the streets? I am currently looking into alternative care for my grandma as she doesnt deserve such a horrid place to live.

My grandmother is at Mountainside, they are treating her well, and it’s all good. Sometimes she doesn’t eat as she doesn’t like the food, but for the most part, she is very happy. She doesn’t have a lot of complaints with anybody there. It’s clean, and the people seem to be very caring; that’s the most important thing. You get what you pay for, and we are happy with it.
