Very nervous moving in here last month. That was until I met the staff. I am a very unique case and they have gone above and beyond to ensure my comfort and safety. Rooms are very nice and clean. Being able to get a haircut in the salon is very convenient.

My in-person visit to Morningside of Charlottesville was very nice and informative. I liked everything that I saw. They included pretty much everything I was looking for. The personnel were all very nice, friendly, and cooperative. Overall, I would rate it a very good tour simply because it's one of the two places that I am seriously considering at the moment in terms of accommodation, finances, and everything else that I have to offer. The apartments were very nice. They had ample room. They were good-sized apartments and very nice as far as the floor plan.

We went to Morningside of Charlottesville. The tour was good, but we couldn't get in there because of financial reasons. The staff members were OK. The room was good. They had studios and apartments. The studio had a microwave and a refrigerator. The place seemed good.

Kristy of Morningside of Charlottesville was very informative, helpful, and personable. She knew everybody by name and was giving hugs. It was a very pleasant and warm overall ambiance so we're considering the place. The accommodations are very pleasant. They have a nice dining room, game room, movies, and all kinds of activities going on for the residents. Even the administrative staff is very friendly towards the residents which is great. I was very pleased with everybody. Even though the place was older, it was well kept up.

My mom is living at Morningside of Charlottesville. The location seemed really nice. She has been there for a little while and it's been good. Rhonda Moore gave me the tour and information, and she was very professional, helpful, and made the process as easy as we could hope for without the pressure. She made it an easy pick once I had to pick. My mom has a small studio room but it's a fine size with a nice-sized bathroom for wheelchair and shower accessibility. It's private, which is nice, and has a nice, big window. The appliances and the AC/heating seemed almost new. There's no odor in the whole place. The food smells and looks good. They brag about it and my mom seems content with it. The activities are well-suited for the residents. They're not the cheapest, but their value is very good.

Morningside of Charlottesville is superbly run and well kept. We like it very much. My parents-in-law have been there over a week now. It’s very good. The size of the room is more than adequate. They provide excellent care. The director is a nurse, and she’s superb and really understands the people and how to deal with them. She’s been there for 14 or more years, and she’s excellent. They have meeting rooms and plenty of extra space for programs held daily for the seniors to participate in. It’s more like a hotel than it is a medical facility.

From what I saw during my visit at Morningside of Charlottesville, everything appeared clean and neat. I did not see any issues. The rooms were on the small side.

I have no stars for this place if that were an option. My mom stayed here a little while. During that time they changed head nurses four times. The staff most days were angry and grumpy. I once pushed mom's call button and after 30 minutes had to go look for someone. What if mom had fallen? Had a stroke? She would have been dead by the time they got to her. I lodged three formal complaints during my mother's stay. No one ever addressed my concerns. My mother began to show signs of depression and was asking me to take her home. So I began to look around for other places. I found a better situation for my mom. Staffing is important and there are no checks and balances at Morningside of Charlottesville. Not much oversight for staff. They do what they want. I rarely saw the director or head nurse. It was very difficult to get returned calls or emails. The other thing that was troubling was there were never family meetings to address concerns, talk about the health of the resident or just to say all is well.

We walked out of Morningside of Charlottesville saying over our dead bodies it was horrible. The staff was doing their job. The place smelled and looked like the carpets were old and stained everywhere. We were just sort of horrified. The residents were bored, lying around ready to die.

We found Morningside for mom. She seems to be happy there, and she’s adjusted well, so we’re happy about it. She has a one bedroom apartment. It’s nice. They have a lot of activities. Everyone there seems to be professional and friendly.

I was able to visit Morningside of Charlottesville. They have more activities for the residents. They have exercise, group talks, play games, and music. It’s a really nice facility, and it's quiet, but it was just too expensive for me.

Very nice physical structure, great social atmosphere with lots of activities for residents. Unfortunately the food is low quality and high in salt content. Unable to provide low salt or specialized menus to meet dietary needs of seniors.

It was nice. It was smaller in size and a bit more personal. The location was really good. It was close to hospitals and a very short distance from shopping.

My father had been in Morningside of Charlottesvile. They are the best facility in the whole area. The rooms are excellent. My father recuperated well and was sent home.

Morningside Assisted Living is a decently nice place that hasn't got any major issues that I have, or my mother has, encountered. The staff does take good care of my mother and makes her comfortable. There are activities for the residents to do but they are limited as it seems sometimes that Morningside is a little short staffed. Morningside is in a safe location for the residents and the staff that is there seems very knowledgeable and trained in assisted living care.

This place is fairly nice with no major complaints. They take good care of my mother, but don't go above and beyond to make it a good quality of life for her. The activities are limited and caregivers seem understaffed at times. They do take care of her basic needs and we have never had any major problems. It is safe place and in a very pretty location with mountain views right near town.
