My wife moved to The Residence at Quarry Hill. The service is wonderful and the food is great. They're very attentive. They check on her all night long. It's only been one day, but everyone's been very kind so far.

The tour at The Residence at Quarry Hill was very nice. The place was newer. Everything was just a little bit nicer, but it was a lot more expensive prohibitively so. The staff was nice. I would have no problems having my mom be there if it wasn't so expensive. They have nice little outside places. They had a movie theater, movie night, exercise classes, and exercise rooms.

We are hoping to move my mother-in-law into The Residence at Quarry Hill. We liked pretty much everything about it. It seemed like it was a good fit for her. We plan to move her into assisted living, but should the need arise for memory care, that's available right there. We met the director, Tanya, and we felt very comfortable with her. The people that we met were all wonderful. They had nice indoor spaces. They had a music room, a theater, lots of little lounge areas, and a game room where people were reading and putting together puzzles. They also offered off-site activities where they took the residents out in a van.

I toured The Residence at Quarry Hill for my mom. It's very nice and very well kept up. The people are very friendly. It's a very nice facility. The rooms are nice, but I think they're small. They're also well-maintained. The staff are very knowledgeable and very friendly, and they get back to me very quickly with the questions that I had. They have a lot of activities. They have flower arranging, a bridge group, and places where people can assemble puzzles. They also have a kitchen for cooking and a place for people to play board games. They have a whole exercise class and a wellness area where the physical therapists can come. They have a movie theater area, too. They had a lot going on. The dining areas were also very nice.

One of our top choices right now is The Residence at Quarry Hill. We like the layout, we like the amenities, and they had a lot of activities. When we toured, they had us meet with the activity counselor, while in most of the other places, we were just toured around by the executive director or director. So it seemed that at Quarry Hill, they broke it down a little further and showed you a little bit more of what a day might look like, not just by showing you a piece of paper, but by walking around and showing you some of the things they did. So it just seemed a little more personal, honestly. We looked at a 1-bedroom that's 570 square feet. It has a little small kitchenette, a living area, a separate bedroom, and a bathroom off the bedroom. It was quite large with a lot of space and good storage as well, it has good closet space, which some of the other places we've seen didn't have so much of that. They had a refrigerator and a freezer, there was a microwave, and a small cooktop if you wanted to use it. There's plenty of counter space, which is what I've noticed that's different from the other ones. It's more like a regular apartment. The staff who gave the tour was great, she was very attentive to my mother and her needs, and made her feel comfortable. She was by far the best one, which is probably one of the reasons why my mom likes it so much there.

I toured The Residence at Quarry Hill and looked at the assisted living. It was a very positive experience. The assisted living was pretty well integrated with the independent living as they shared the same spaces. There's a gazebo in front of the building and there were a lot of residents outside. People were having conversations and appeared very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. They were open to questions and talking about their experiences. They were very receptive and gave good answers. They also had a gorgeous dining room with views of the mountains. I think one of the pluses that they had was their dining area is open so people can come at their convenience. It's not just set hours (which was very appealing to us). Their food was delicious, too. They had a lot of outside tours organized (as they could with COVID) to visit local landmarks or have picnics in parks and things like that. So, it felt like there was a lot to keep the residents occupied. I think it was also nice that it had outdoor spaces. There was a place to walk nearby and just the light and spaciousness, and the cleanliness of the place were nice.
