My grandmother is currently at Sandstone Taylorsville for skilled nursing. They had availability, and they were easy to work with. The staff was very professional and nice. I saw my grandmother eating the food and it was good. The facilities are very clean. The atmosphere was cozy. They had a good size room.

My grandmother was in the rehab center after breaking her ankle. There was maybe 2 nurses there who did their job and actually cared, however, they are no longer at this facility. The nurses did not read her chart ever. She had pressure wounds around her ankle because they were not propping it as directed by her doctor in her chart. On the day of her surgery, she was supposed to be fully showered, per her chart. We show up and hour before she needed to leave to find they hadn’t done anything. After notifying the nurses of their mistake, they come through to give her a bed bath. Again, her chart said fully showered. We had to walk the nurse through what her chart said. She barely made it to the hospital on time. She was supposed to be receiving physical therapy but they would hardly come get her to do so. My grandma mentioned multiple times, the nurses were mean to her. My grandmothers clothing and presents for her grandchildren went missing and when my mother filed a report and sent an email, we were never contacted about it and the items never returned. She was transferred to long term care. After a couple days my mother could tell my grandmother wasn’t feeling well and asked the nurse if she could have sepsis. The nurse replied with “no, that’s impossible” and didn’t even test her. A day later, we get the call that they are transferring her to the hospital for pneumonia and the hospital determined she had sepsis. This facility is poorly run and the staff is under qualified. When visiting my grandma on multiple occasions, you would see patients in wheelchairs abandoned in the hallways. My only regret is we didn’t pull her out of the facility sooner. Please do not send your loved ones to this facility. Keep them home if you can. My poor grandmother deserved better than that. She has now passed due to the complications that occurred at this facility.

We were told that our father would be moved in 3 days to their new rooms. After 3 weeks he was still in the old room. He said the food was terrible. He lost 10 pounds in the 3 weeks he was there. We were told they also bring around snacks 3 times a day besides the meals. He never received a snack. We had family members visit him every day. On the days I went his food was very cold and I had to have them warm it up. We would call to ask them to have him ready to go on an outing, but when we arrived to pick him up there was no one at the desk to check him out. They had not given him any breakfast as asked. They promised a lot but never delivered. They were only concerned with getting the money. We were VERY unhappy with the center.
