Heart Felt Home Assisted Living was disgusting, dirty, and smelled bad. There were holes in the walls. They had oxygen tanks stored in the closet in the room that we visited. They served the residents frozen foods. The person who accommodated us was OK, but he was vague. There were no activities. The activities were just sitting in your room and watching TV or come out in this small area and watch TV.

I visit this facility frequently. The conditions are deplorable. The bathrooms look as if they haven't been cleaned for a month.

I am the granddaughter of a prior resident of Heart and Homes Assisted Living in Centerville Utah. My grandmother was put into assisted living after she fell at the age of 81 and broke her hip. She had been to a couple other places and would not interact with the other residents, join in their activities and always would complain about the staff and the food. When we took her to Heart and Homes the staff was wonderful they greeted us like we were already part of their family. They all were very nice and patient asked us questions and asked my grandmother questions to help them get to her and us. They were very understanding of what she needed and what we needed her to do. (Not stay in her room alone all the time was the biggest thing). Within the first day being at Heart and Homes, she was in much better spirits, the staff and the owner David Platt had been awesome making her feel like she was still able to take care of herself (her dignity and independence was very important to her) she has been very independent since my grandpa passed away in 1996. Being able to have her cat with her was great and helped her feel like she was home. The facility has a homey feeling; it is taken care of and kept clean. The time that she spent at Heart and Homes she had a lot of fun, didn’t spend time in her room other than to sleep. She would go out and interact with the other residents, participate in all the activities, would eat out in the dining room. She loved the fact that she could go out and walk around and that she didn’t feel like she was in jail (not being able to go out of the facility like other places she had been) She loved being able to go and play in the garden (she was a gardener and loved gardening) the time she spent at Heat and Homes she was happy! The staff is wonderful they make you feel like you are family even if you are just visiting. The staff is easy to find and are always willing to help in any and every way they can. They are all extremely nice and love their job. The owner and CEO (David Platt) gets involved with his residents, it could be learning a computer game to be able to play and connect with his residents, sitting and talking and spending time with them playing a game, drawing, he loves all his residents. The staff when they lose a resident it’s like they just lost one of their own family members. I love Heart and Homes cuz they really do want their residents to feel like they are part of the family and they are home. Where they are safe, happy healthy and the food is amazing (not one time did my grandma ever complain about the food or the staff) having my grandma at Heart and Homes made me feel great cuz I knew that she was safe taken care of and loved like I love her! The residents I met were happy and very nice; I asked them how they liked living there. They all told me that they would want to leave cuz of how wonderful, nice and caring the Owner and staff are. I would definitely recommend Heart and Homes to anyone that needs Assisted living for themselves or a family member!

We had my mom at Heart & Home Assisted Living. Most of the time, the staff are caring and very good with their patients. I haven’t tried the food, but it seems to be a very good home-cooked food. They do have a dining area and it's small as they only have 11 residents.

We chose Beehive Homes mainly because of its location. The staff does an average job and the place itself is average but it is good for my dad, for his culture, his demeanor, and who he is in life. He was a truck driver and he doesn't want anything upscale or glamorous. Not being in an upscale community is actually the best thing about it for my dad who prefers to be with regular people. Their homes are old and there is a lot of maintenance that needs to be done. I also think that they struggle sometimes with staffing. It's not a facility I would want to live in, but it's what my dad wanted though.

I have a great aunt who is a resident in this facility. The most complimentary thing I can say is that she's happy here. She's made friends with both the staff and residents. The facility is small and intimate and the pace slow and easy, which is just perfect for her. For the last few years, she hasn't been able to get around well or do many things for herself. The staff is excellent, always helping her to take care of her necessary business and preserving her dignity in the process. She's a very proud, independent woman and I know that accepting her limitations is hard for her. The staff are infinitely patient though, and have been extremely compassionate and caring. They don't even seem to mind when she waxes poetic about her grancdhildren and nieces and nephews.
